If you want a true umbrella, the best out there now is the Maclaren twin triumph or twin techno. Uppa baby is releasing one this summer too. I couldn't wait for the Uppa baby, I think due out in August, so I got the triumph. I love it so far very easy to fold and folds compactly. It's only slightly bigger folded than our First Years Ignite. I bought it for travel and Dr. visits Etc.
The twin triumph was $320, the techno is bigger and runs about $450 I think and the Uppa baby I believe is expected to be about $450 as well. I think the Uppa baby will be closer to the triumph size wise from what I saw during my research.
The city mini double is a great stroller but it's definitely much bigger than others.

I used the Maclaren double umbrella for a while. It folded up nicely and was manageable in terms of weight, but my boys outgrew it by the time my oldest was 2.5 or so. I think it is better for someone who has actual twins. I have used the UPV with the rumble seats for years now and am happy with it.
We have a city mini double and love it. It fits through doors but just barely to give you an idea of size. Our (very tall) almost 3 year old and baby fit well in it

I rented a city mini double GT to use at Disney World for my two and six year olds. My six year old (47", 49 lbs.) was definitely at the top of the capacity range for the stroller but we were still able to push them both around with little difficulty. So if you're looking for a double stroller with longevity, this one would do it. If you want something that folds up small and is lightweight, this is not a good choice.
