DS got sick on Thursday -- lethargic, not eating. Friday morning when I went in to get him, he had vomited during the night in his crib. He had a fever of 101. Yesterday gave him tylenol; he had diarrhea and a fever between 99-103. Last night he went to bed around 7:30, woke around 3 AM. His fever was 102.9. I gave him tylenol, a bottle of water and rocked him back to sleep. It's 9:20 and he is still sleeping. I can see in the monitor that he is moving, and I opened the door to hear him breathing.
The question: is it ok that I let him keep sleeping? He has never slept this long. Should I be worried about febrile seizures or temperature or....?
I see he's already up but I'd let him keep sleeping. Tylenol seems to be half working on the fever so I wouldn't be too concerned about a seizure.
Sleeping is also a really good sign he's probably fighting it off. When DS had a high fever and I was worried, he was just laying there awake but not really. It was eerie.
