At preschool the other day, we had a police man come in to visit with the kids, he gave a little speech about what he does and was passing around some of his gear for the kids to see. As he was passing around the handcuffs, one little boy pipes up "My mom has handcuffs, but hers are pink!". The only thing better was it just so happened that his mom was the mom of the day!!

Ok i got one. My mother and I took my kids to the mall the other day and as we are walking past the phone case kiosk DS (who is seven) says "look it's an indian". I was so shocked and all I could think to say was "DS! What are you talking about?!?". They guy at the kiosk who looked like he could have been indian looked at me and him with a WTF look. Apparently there is a store right behind the kiosk that has a huge painting of an native american chief on the wall... i was very embarrassed.
At the doctor DS and I were discussing consequences and he asked if adults have consequences and I said yes. And he said, "like your consequence might be not getting to drink beer because sometimes you drink too much."
