DH felt bad about how things have gone with DS2 lately so he just held him for 2 hours so I could sleep. I just finished feeding him so fingers crossed I can get another stretch of sleep.
I'm with undecidedowl....DH is taking first shift on the couch with the tiny dictator so I can sleep in our bed. The plan is for me to wake up to nurse and climb back in bed. It feels like such a luxury! Lol. We'll see how wake up #1 goes. I left today for 4 hours and he couldn't get her to nap at all and she was craaaannnkkky.

Nooope. 45 minutes later we are up again and he is wide awake this time. I don't want to create an expectation that he gets to nurse every time he wakes up but it's the only easy way to get him to sleep. Ahh, what to?!
So relieved! I just woke up to pump and my latest plug seems to have cleared! My breast is no longer hard and painful. And I produced a ton. I doubt that will continue while I'm on meds, but I'll take it!
It's so nice not to be in pain. Fingers crossed a new spot doesn't pop up.

How old is your kiddo? Often they are legitimately hungry even past CIO age.
He is 4.5 months. I'm happy to feed him 2-3 times a night but he is waking much more often. However, unless DH is willing to get up and rock him I'll most likely nurse him every time because otherwise it will be time to feed him by the time I get him back down.
DH usually takes one overnight a weekend so I can get a full nights sleep in our bed. Tonight he woke me up a little before 3 to switch shifts. Apparently baby girl has been really fussy and won't sleep more then 20 minutes. I sent DH to bed. Hopefully I can settle her and still get some more sleep tonight.

After weeks of good sleeping, I'm back up all night.
I am 100% blaming my H for this, even though I am not sure that's fair. Also, I am wondering if 7 months is too early to play the pregnancy-not feeling well card in order to skip church tomorrow? So far I've slept about 3 hours, and I am not sure I have 6 hours of church in me...

Wake up number 1 and we are at my parents. I'm grateful and pray he goes right back down. We were up at 5:00 am yesterday to drive up here through a busy day ending with a birthday dinner. My head hit the pillow at 11:02. That means I had 5.5 hours of straight sleep. Hoping for another two hours and a nap tomorrow.
Praying he goes back down, we are out of over night diapers so I had to change him. That really woke him up.

Yes, you can skip church?.
I have a list of questions for God one day invoking labor being painful, teething, nursing and pregnancy. You get a pass.
She did not sleep as well as she has been....only 3hrs and I got 2 in. I swear its like she KNOWS or something. DH insists on staying out here when I'm done nursing her. He's passed nack oit so hopefully she goes back down easy

On 3 hours of sleep? Totally skip church. I would give non pregnant people a pass with that little sleep.

My H is a/the minister so I feel SO GUILTY when I'm not there.
It's high time we get DD out of the swaddle, so I swaddled her with one arm out last night to start the transition. She woke up at 4:30 and when I went in to get her she had gotten the second arm out and was on her tummy. Not sure what that means for our transition.

But omg, ugh. I don't think I can do it.
I'm sure people will understand! Also, 6 hours? Is that multiple services? If it would ease your guilt, could you take a separate car and only stay as long as you feel up to?

Yes, three services and the annual chili cookoff. We live in Chicago and he works in the burbs, we have just one car.
I'm considering taking the train out for the Chili Contest (my phone capitalized that for some reason, lol)....better than nothing?
