I live in France and want DD to have as much exposure to English as possible since her day-to-day interactions are in French. I will be in the US this summer and will be picking up toys and stuff to bring back with us. Can you recommend your favorite kid's music, books that speak when you press buttons, talking toys, books in English, etc? Basically anything that will increase English exposure.
Ditto leap frog! Aldo disney makes some books that come with a cd. You pop the cd in and the kid cam read along with the book. The cd makes a sound when it's time to turn the page.
Re: music, DD loves Laurie Berkner and Lisa Loeb and has since she was a toddler.
Is Lisa Loeb kids music now? Or is she just a fan of her music? She is the chick with the glasses who sang something that was popular in the 90s right??
@myblue, she has some dedicated kids' albums now. "Catch the Moon" with Elizabeth Mitchell (oh, yeah, check out Elizabeth Mitchell, too) and a couple of others.
For non-kids' music, DD likes Bob Dylan. A friend of mine from Spain taught herself to speak English through Bob Dylan lyrics, so maybe your DD will feel inspired by him as well!
