I love being pregnant for five minutes and getting a letter saying I need to pay $1600 at my next visit or $275 a month for the next six months, or seek care elsewhere. God bless America, lol.
Is that pre payment for delivery? I never heard of that before. I just got a bill for my ob services at my 6 week checkup.
My OB's office does that too. It irritates me especially because we have met our deductible for the year this time before the baby's even born, AND last time they waited months to bill our insurance (probably because that way I was making payments to the hospital, had met my deductible, and they just got paid directly.) So they've got a bunch of my money, but have not billed me for anything yet, so it will probably have to be refunded, and in the meantime, it would be nice to have to pay other medical bills.
I'm currently sitting in the Charleston airport, nursing a slight hangover, and impatiently waiting to get home and snuggle my boy. My mom told me he blew a kiss at the phone when I called earlier.
In other news, apparently I'm not too old to drink three nights in a row and stay up until 5am. But I'm probably going to have to sleep for a week to recover. Totally worth it.

I plan to fight this if there's a next time. This policy completely drained my HSA, then the hospital got their bill out first which met our deductible so the OB's portion due ended up being miniscule. I ended up getting a check in the mail from the OB for like $1598 using your number, no joke.
I then needed to go deposit at the bank that administers our HSA since it was pretax $$$ and I was paranoid about just depositing it in our regular account and it was a huge ordeal since it's through DH's work and I had a newborn. I'm pretty sure I cried in the car afterwards lol. It was ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN lol.
I've already called the pedi's after hours line twice today for the baby's wheezing . I'm predicting a hospital run at one point this evening.
Basically, he woke up with that cough he had two weeks that ended up almost sending us to the hospital from the pedi's office. We gave him just two puffs of albuterol at 7 and by the time we were at mass at 9, it had completely worn off. That's the first time I called, to see if I could give him a full dose (4 puffs) sooner than 4 hours, which are the instructions I had from two weeks ago. Nurse okayed it.
So, four puffs later he was back to normal and we went out to run errands. Less than two hours, he was a wheezing mess, called and talked to a doctor. He said as long as the times between doses is increasing and not decreasing, just to keep giving him the inhaler. If the timing between it wears off starts getting any closer, to take him to childrens. Right now he's napping and were at 90 minutes so that's good. He has his 18 month well check tomorrow morning anyway. GAH, breathing issues are scary and why does it always happen after hours?

DD went for a nap at 1 per usual. She fell asleep somewhere around 3. It's 4 now and H is going to go wake her up. Boo He thinks she won't go to bed tonight if she sleeps longer.
The newborn/hard-on-your-marriage thread has given me a sort of PTSD, even though I am in such a great place with 7-month-old DS right now and even though the really, really hard times are at least 5 years behind me.
I don't know why people torture themselves. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep wearing my maternity pants way way too long.
Ha, part of it was lazy (I was pregnant with DS in the summer, so had shorts/dresses) and needed to buy pants. Part of it was the fact that I can still button my regular pants so I feel like I do not deserve maternity pants yet lol. BUT then I figured F it, i am 20 weeks! I can wear maternity pants ha ha
Ooooo, raging pet peeve of mine just happened today. DD went to a bday party from 12-3 and there was no food served. Only bday cake and snacks. She just informed me now when dinner is at least 30 minutes from being done.
At what time is a kid supposed to have lunch with a party in that time frame? 11am? 3:30pm?

Ugh, yeah that sucks. Honestly I serve food no matter the time because I am so worried about people being hungry ha ha

E should be a baby model because he didn't care at all about all the posing and picture taking today He did so well!
So about MommyCon - my friend wants me to go (if there are still tickets). I don't BF (although I wanted to, as many of you know) or cloth diaper, and TBH I'm not that into a lot of organic and natural things. Not opposed, I'm just cheap/poor, haha. Anyways, would it be worth it for me to go? My friend has a $10 coupon code I think she said but that's still $30 to go. Trying to decide! There is a baby expo in my area the weekend before that's $5 so I think H and I might hit that up for sure!
I'm sitting here awkwardly while my friend who is traveling with me is having a very uncomfortable conversation/argument with her husband on the phone, in the middle of the Atlanta airport. I am totally listening but pretending not to...

DD just had an awesomely epic tantrum. I think she has cabin fever from being home all weekend due to a tummy bug.
She asked for juice and when I repeatedly told her no, and daddy told her no, she went into the playroom, slammed the door, and threw herself face first into the floor in hysterics. It was adorable.
I'm so ready to give up on consignment sales. The last couple I've been to are total busts--people price their stuff way too high and the quality control is nonexistent. I went to one this morning where a used 3T Baby Gap polo was priced at $7, no discount for half price day, with obvious wear on it. People are insane. I can get NWT for cheaper if I watch sales.
Have you tried ThredUP? Online consignment shopping, and AMAZING.
