She's being born tomorrow, so today is my last chance to get or do something we forgot. I think we're pretty well prepared though. Have I forgotten anything?
-crib assembled, including mattress protector and sheets -dresser with changing station assembled, including all diapering supplies laid out -infant car seat cleaned and installed -RnP and bouncer cleaned & ready -freezer meals done -hospital bag packed -DS's overnight bag for grandma's packed -All baby clothes washed & put away
Hit the grocery store (or have H do it before you come home if your stay is longer) so you have some fresh stuff upon arrival home. Strawberries were the best thing ever in a sea of frozen pizza and casseroles.
Get a basket of stuff together for DS to do. A new movie. Color books. Small toys. Play-doh. Whatever keeps him happy so you feed the baby/shower/eat. That was more helpful to me than anything I did for DS.
Having your bathroom supplies ready is a good one too.
This seems ridiculously dumb but do you have some lounge outfits put together? I put like a week's worth on hangers in my closet of clothes I knew would be comfortable. I don't mean well coordinated down to accessories...haha...just stuff you know you want clean/like to wear/is comfortable etc. Take a shower, readymade clothes, done. I know it's a stupid thing to do but in that up all night/post birth/too hard to think phase I appreciated it.
Do you have snacks/water bottle and/or BFing supplies for yourself? (If you need/want them).
Anything for your son he might need in the first week?
Yup, got muffins, granola bars, trail mix, & yogurt. Got manual breast pump, which was all I used last time. The hospital gives out these kick ass huge water jugs with straws that I'll bring home with me.
He's staying with grandma and his bag is all packed. He's got a few new toys waiting for his return.

Sounds like youre in good shape on the baby front. Heres some stuff I did the day before
Make sure bills are paid fill car w gas/wash grocery store run make sure you have pads, ibuprofen for you for when you get home plus your favorite drinks/snacks All set for pet care if applicable?
Lots of food, pet supplies, etc so no one has to run out and leave you with two kids alone.
Yup got at least a weeks worth of frozen meals ready, maybe more. I have a quick grocery list ready for a stop-off on the way home from the hospital (perishables like deli meat and bread).
Pets are all set, I spent a gagillion dollars at PetsMart last week.
@justdairy DH will be home with us for 2 weeks after my hospital stay, so he's in charge of entertaining DS, heh. DS just got a TON of toys for his birthday so he should be good.
I've got a small grocery list of perishables ready for DH to get on the way home from the hospital. Deli meat, bread, fruit, etc. Stuff that will be spoiled if I buy it now and try to eat it late this week.

Talk about what pictures you might want or not want in the hospital with your husband. I like pictures of me with our kids, but my husband doesn't think to take any unless I specifically ask him.
i would prep the bathroom with all of your supplies so you dont have to dig for those.
totally unnecessary, but did you have a "big brother" gift for DS? get that out and ready.
Yup all my supplies are already under our bathroom sink. Pads, wipes, meds.
Dammit a big brother gift would have been a good idea. I didn't get one
Go to Target and buy him something. It doesn't have to say big brother just a little (or big) something so he feels special tomorrow and that it is not all about the baby.

Are all the straps for the infant car seat back in the newborn position? That was not so fun to have to do in the hospital parking lot when trying to leave.
Sounds like you are well prepared! Are you counting down the hours?!
I have an extra little diaper station - diapers, wipes, a&d ointment (this guy poops every hour!) burp cloths, etc. in the bottom of the bassinet.
I never have to leave my bed in the middle of the night. I'm lazy.
DD will be sleeping in her crib at the foot of our bed, and the changing table is a foot away. Even if she ends up in the RnP on my side of the bed, the changing table is still super close. Plus, MOTN diaper changes are DH's job!
Maybe have a nice chat with your H about how you'll both be stressed and overtired in the coming weeks so you can agree ahead of time to cut each other some slack.

Yup, I did that when I put the clean cover on this morning. I also realized that DH's BFF still has the newborn insert, which she promised to bring when she visits is the hospital (she lives an hour away). I really hope she remembers!
I am counting! Is it bad that I'm almost as excited about eating carbs and treats as I am about meeting DD? I've been fantasizing about everything I'm going to eat in the hospital. First up is penne with chicken & asparagus from my fav bistro down the street. Plus some petite fours!

I agree with this. We totally knew how to install the seat in the car but forgot to learn how to adjust the straps and get the baby into the seat. Fwiw.
@supergreen, I would be planning what I was going to eat at the hopsital too if I had GD! I won't tell you how I have been eating in the last month, but....enjoy your carbs. You deserve them, LOL.
