I just saw one of those "If you've been hurt by <this product> call <this lawyer> to join a class-action lawsuit..." commercials for Zofran.
I took it while pregnant and I remember looking up that there are no birth defects associated with its use. Is this a bogus suit or have things happened since then?
I haven't looked into it too much but there must have been some "injuries" in order for the suit to move forward. From what I skimmed a few weeks ago, it sounds like one of the main points is that prescribing Zofran for pregnancy induced nausea is technically an off label use of the drug. So the suit is saying it was never fully tested in pregnancy and now there are these injuries.

There's some speculation that it can cause cardiac defects or cleft lip/palate issues. I don't know that there's enough info either way, but people can sue for anything.
Anecdotally, no one I've known in real life has had an issue after taking it. But that doesn't mean a lot.
The latest suit alleges that Zofran causes hydronephrosis. I actually took Zofran and had a baby with hydronephrosis, but IME it was no big deal and resolved itself.
