For us, it is a holiday. So an odd week in work - 4 days broken up.
I'm having my lie in now, DH playing golf later so I might take the girls to a shopping mall, maybe be brave enough to go for pizza... There are tons of festivals and parades but there are too many people for my liking. Maybe in a couple of years we'll bring the girls to see them but not this year.
Reg day here. dd learned about leprechauns at school yesterday and is Now scared of them. She told us we needed go find green clothes or we will be pincheD. I have lime green so that will have to dO. Apparently the leprechaun stole toys at school yesterday, made a mess, etc. Thanks teacher.

Just the assortment of green food and green clothes. I don't like corned beef and usually make my ( Irish) grandmas Swiss and potato soup... But DH is gone and the kids won't eat it. Missing my g-parents today. However, my sister is in Ireland and blitzed already I'm sure lol
DH took the day off so we are taking DD to the aquarium. My mom boiled my corned beef for the first time yesterday, so I will re-cook it, this time in beer, once we get home.
I am traveling for a meeting today so I was out of the house before DD woke up I left my H explicit outfit instructions (greensplosion!). We had corned beef and cabbage over the weekend.
We're doing an Irish stew for dinner. I made sure to lay out a green outfit for H and M before I left to work. I have my traditional Dropkick Murphy's, The Pogues and various other bands playing.
I am traveling for a meeting today so I was out of the house before DD woke up I left my H explicit outfit instructions (greensplosion!). My sister is marching in the parade, but I couldn't take off today to watch. Waaah. We had corned beef and cabbage over the weekend.
I did the same thing, laid out the outfits for him and instructed him to take pictures as something will have certainly happened to the outfits by the time I get home tonight.
Just a regular day at work. I think I might bring a Shamrock Shake home tonight. I think DS will LOVE it. Otherwise there will be green milk. So festive!
St. Patrick's Day was the favorite holiday of my aunt who just passed, so I'm celebrating for her. I made everyone in my family wear green today. I'll probably turn on some irish music when we get home. Maybe pick up some irish food/beer on my way home.
We celebrated early on Sunday since weeknights are so hectic. We had friends come over with their 2 kids, and they seem to still be talking to us despite my kids losing their minds... lol. DH made colcannon, corned beef (with seeded mustard, Guinness, carrots, parnips, onions, and cabbage), and potato oatmeal bread. So delicious. I don't have the nice photos off my camera, so you get these crappy cell phone pics, lol. DD wearing her headband for 20 seconds on Sunday, and the kids at daycare this morning all dressed up. DS's beard made it all of 20 seconds, too. At least I got a pic!
I'll be serving boiled dinner tonight at work and the kids are wearing their green shirts DS doesn't look half Irish but I make sure to remind people he is lol.
They do a big parade in Boston (it was this past weekend) and I would love to take the kids when they are older to it.
I am wearing a green sweater. We're making Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage for dinner (I don't know if stuffed cabbage is even Irish). DH is home with C - odds of him remembering to put her in her St. paddy's Day tee? 50/50.
I'm a terrible Irish person who totally forgot it was St. Patrick's Day until I got to work this morning. That said, H and I usually make reubens for dinner, so I'm sure that's out plan.

We did corned beef and cabbage on Sunday. I'm wearing green today and will probably listen to The Corrs all day at work and watch Riverdance tonight (with Michael Flatley and Jean Butler, of course). DD loves it!
I remember in 2004 I went to the St. Paddys day parade in Dublin. I found it hilarious that nearly all of the marching bands were from the U.S.
We celebrated on Sunday with ILs, we do a New England boiled dinner (corned beef, cabbage) but roasted the potatoes and carrots this year. Also have the Irish Soda bread - girls love that Today, though, the girls are all dressed in green at school
Lá féile Pádraig sona duit irish! We're back Stateside so no big celebration here. James has his Ireland jersey on and we're streaming the hurling club final from Croker.
Go mbeidh mid beo ag an am seo aris!
Can't say we are celebrating big here either. I'm sitting at home now, watching Tangled with dd1 while crocheting a baby blanket. Dd2 is napping, with a toy stethescope and dh out playing golf for another couple of hours.
Party animals? We had bacon and cabbage for lunch in work yesterday. Girls dressed in green in Creche but we've no more green clothes so just normal clothes today

We have a big dinner with all extended family tonight at my parents restaurant. Lots of corned beef and cabbage and irish music. Always a lot of fun, one of the few times a year we all get together.
