G is having some problems during feedings. I've been overwhelmed with it and just hoping to figure it out and get her feeling better. She's on a prescription now for cramps/gas so maybe it will help. Poor baby.

How sad jjwritergirl I don't think I could ever drop kids off like that!
bk1 I hope she feels better soon! E has screaming fits off and on from like 8pm-1am. H has been taking him for car rides to put him to sleep but then he gets back home and starts screaming again. It's frustrating and I hope this phase passes soon! I do wonder if he has issues with gas too. Gripe water and gas drops don't seem to help so maybe he's just fussy at that time. Ugh.
jjwritergirl, that is super sad. I'd be having a huge CTJ talk with her.
mine is a total FWP. DH got some new (to him) jeans off ebay, and they're too long, so he took them to get them hemmed. we asked for the original hem, ad I went to pick them up. nope, just the stupid cheap hem. the tailor was like, "give me 2 more hours, I'll fix them." so you still have the original hems lying around??? I'm giving him 2 more more hours, but we don't plan to use this guy again. it was the cheapest we could find (per DH's request) but the shop looks like a sweatshop, it was difficult to find, and they can't even do the job right. not worth it to save $7/pair of jeans.

((hugs)) C was like this too and it sucked. One night he screamed for 7 hours straight and I was literally crying with him. Hang in there- C is still fussy at night but much better than those first 6 weeks. Also, HIGHLY recommend probiotics. Everyone recommended them to me and I was hesitant because of $$$...between that and his reflux meds (and possibly my non-dairy diet) things are so much better. Oh, and maybe talk to his doctor about reflux if you think he has other symptoms too. Good luck- you will get through this and are doing a great job!
jjwritergirl- that's just crazy and so so sad! You are amazing friend and she's lucky to have you!
I have a huuuuuuuuge MIL vent and it's very long and involved. The short version is that she thinks we should have started Milo on solids at 4 months or else we'll give him allergies. She's been making snide comments about his food for 4 months. He still is not a fan of solids (which is NORMAL). In the last few weeks she's said "if my kid wasn't eating yet, I'd have a fit!" and "him eating one bite isn't anything to celebrate" (it is! it's more than he usually eats!), and that him not eating yet is "not natural."
It probably doesn't sound that bad, but it's killing me. I have so much anxiety already, and this is not helping! The doctor and most research I've done says it's NBD. We're limiting our exposure to her because we can't take it anymore.

katiek that's annoying. My grandma made a ton of comments when we were at my parents a couple weeks ago. She luckily made most of the comments while I was downstairs attempting to pump. H came and told me what she said and after she commented on giving him formula (I had issues BFing/pumping) I just bawled. I was already emotional about it. I just wish people could keep their mouths shut unless it's something that would really honestly hurt him or something. I hate that everyone has an opinion on everything and doesn't have a problem letting you know even when you don't ask!
jjwritergirl I am so sorry you have to deal with that.
I talked to our scheduling person at work last night. I was under the impression that after April 1st we would be back to a normal schedule. Now I find out that I may have to wait until sometime in May to get back to regular shifts. I really am having a hard time with these 18 hour tours and the board doesn't seem to care. Grrr!
Thanks jjwritergirl and estrellita. Why are people such know-it-alls about babies and food?! And everything else, but especially this!
True story! I always want to tell people they had the chance to raise their kids the way they wanted or were able to, let me do what's best for me and my child!

No kidding! In hindsight, when MIL said she would throw a fit if her kid wasn't eating yet, I really wish I had said "well it's a good thing he isn't your kid, then!" But alas, I didn't think of it. I need to write this all down so I remember not to be a nosy assface to new moms when I'm older.
