My bff's birthday was last Wednesday. I wished her a happy birthday and told her I had something for her, but I hadn't mailed it yet. I put it in the mail on Friday. I also mailed (seperately) a birthday card with money in it to her son whose birthday was Saturday. The tracking says that the package was delivered on Saturday. I expected her to send me a quick email or text saying that she and her son received these, but I heard nothing. I figured she was busy this weekend, but nothing yesterday either. This morning, she sent me a little email about some other stuff going on with her, no mention of the stuff. I don't need a thank you. I just think it's weird that she didn't mention it. I thought she would. Now I'm concerned that they weren't received. I guess it's possible that she is mailing a thank you note, but I don't remember her doing that in the past.
Anyway, should I ask her about these things or let it go? It wasn't anything super valuable, and it was only $15 for her son, so it's not like I would freak out if she didn't get it...more like I would be upset if she thought that I gave them the shaft on their birthdays after saying I was sending something.
Yes, in today's super connected world, its antsy when you've sent something to someone and are just worried if it arrived but then its like, sending a thank you card and they have to wait extra long and are worried something happened en route or stolen off the porch or something, or send a quick email but then the thank you card feels overkill.
georgeharrison - I've been meaning to mention, I love that pic of Tman. He's sooo cute.
Thank you! kwpnjumper55 took it. He was being the hugest booger - doing the Chandler Bing photo smile, but she got some really good ones. I nearly cried when I saw this one because it's so good and he looks so old. He's almost as tall as kwpnjumper55, too, and never lets her forget it.
