I know we have several here who are familiar with CO... taratrukams ... who else? I'm blanking.
I'm looking for recs for between DEN and Coors Field. A restaurant for lunch and just a general place to kill a few hours. Anything good around there? We are arriving at 9:30 and need to piddle around for a while until going to a Rockies game at 2:10.
Snooze is really good, but the weekend wait makes me violent. There's a ton of bar food in that area. I need more info to answer this though.
True. I just always assume I'm going to wait 60-90+ and go wander. I can't remember if the Denver Snooze does the text thing like Boulder does, though.

Honestly...Snooze on the weekend is NOT worth it. The food is good but it's so damn crowded and loud in Denver you can't even have a conversation.
You're close enough to the 16th Street Mall to do a quick wandering loop there -- it's no Boulder Pearl Street but it can be interesting! I used to work down in that area but failed miserably at actually going out for lunch so I'm useless there.
If you're in the market for any brewery visits I'd highly recommend checking out the Denver Beer Company on Platte [near the big flagship REI] -- its one of the few Denver breweries I've been to and it has a fun atmosphere.
If you're game for walking around I'd suggest heading right to the downtown/Coors Field area, parking and just wandering on foot [or peddy cab]. You can find a ton of things within a mile or so of the Coor Field Stadium and you don't have the headache of parking, especially near the stadium right before the game.

Snooze is highly overrated IMO. It's a little bit further out, but I'd go to the Cherry Cricket lol. More relaxed, the food is just as good and it's not such a scene.
Honestly, I'd park somewhere a bit south along the light rail and ride that in to avoid ridiculous parking fees and traffic in and out after the game. Then I'd eat at Squeaky Bean or Rialto (build your own mimosas and bloody marys!).
