Usually, I would say "hell no don't do it" emilyinchile, but in this case, I think you're right. It's worth it.
Ditto, I'd do it again. Slow yourself down on the row to save yourself more for the thrusters if needed. And stay WAAAY back on those thrusters to take as much load out of your quads as possible. You can do it!
I did it on Saturday with a little bit of a cold that I didn't really take into consideration until I started doing thrusters. I suddenly felt AWFUL. I was completely white and had goosebumps, I honestly thought I was going to pass out, I freaking sat down in front of the bar with my eyes closed trying to make the world stop spinning multiple times. 22:07.
I still have that bit of a cold, but if I go 1 minute faster I maintain my position as 2nd best girl in our box (the best is way better than the rest of us). Another girl hauled ass and will beat me by 1 point if I stick with my current time. I can do 1 minute faster even with the rest of this cold and with my quads screaming at me, right? (say yes)
We still can. It would just be abut what we did or are doing that week.
I'd participate. I've really enjoyed reading these threads. It's nice to "talk" about CrossFit with people that actually want to talk about it.
I agree and it's confined to this group where it's suitable to post. I saw some CrossFit hate on the other boards recently. I stay quiet and mind my own business when I see it unless there's a legit question that I can answer. There was one about long socks so I chimed in.

I make a concerted effort not to discuss CF on ML. If I do, I end up being accused of never shutting up about it

Haha. I saw you were tagged in one of the posts. I don't think you responded. I stay clear of it. I do mention CF on some of the progress posts but just throw it out there as part of my schedule. I only talk about the actual workouts here.
I've gotten some flak from acquaintances before but I opened my mouth and and invited it in (stupid move). Since then I shut up about it when there's debates or hate and my friends don't bother me about it. I have a ton of CF friends now and I post about it on FB and IG when I get a PR or when I see my ranking in the Open but I definitely don't talk all CF all day. Just part of the day.

No I didn't respond. Unless someone has a specific question I can answer I'm not going there.
A few months ago someone said they didn't know about else about me and I got super eye rolly about it.

My main board is my anniversary board, but when the Nest imploded, we went to a different hosting site, hence why I only lurked over here for so long (plus proboards was blocked at my old job and our other hosting site was not). But, I've been doing CF for 5 years (OMG!) and coaching for 4 years, and since then, 5 women on my anniversary board have caught the bug and others have tested it out, so it's fun to have a little community of CF women that aren't from my local box. I'm all for some more regular CF talk here-this is the right place for it so eyerolling would be really out of place!

AND ALSO because I am feeling feisty, that thread on ML about the CF engagement pictures where wambam was tagged was annoying. I realize I don't live in the US, so I missed a lot of the douche-y CF stuff that seemed to be more of a thing a couple years ago. But I have people on FB and IRL who are annoying about all sorts of things, and I don't hate on their entire activity and everyone who does it just because I happen to know some idiots, ESPECIALLY when that activity is a healthy lifestyle-related thing. Like yes, some vegans are annoying, but I don't have to dismiss all veganism and everyone who eats the occasional carrot as a result. I have seen a ton more CF hate than CF-ers being idiots.
Sorry I do something 5x/week that I love and enjoy and that makes me feel great about myself. OH WAIT NOT SORRY AT ALL, TOO BUSY BEING PROUD AND HAPPY.
We did 15.5 again today. I did mine after the deadline but that was OK because I did better the first round on Friday anyway. I got 11:42 scaled and was the first done. I went slow and was really surprised I made it 30 seconds off from my better time. I did the 21, 15, and 9 thrusters unbroken and the 27 at 20 and 7. It seemed so much easier today for some reason. Maybe because I rested yesterday. I should have done RX but I wasn't feeling it today. I also ran a mile at top speed before the wod.
So ... are we sharing workouts? Today's was long, but I got through it! I'm slowly building back after weaning Baby V, two weeks ago.
Lift : Bench press 3x5 at 93# WOD: 3 rounds of 24 burpess + 12 pull ups ( I used the green band) Rest 3 minutes 3 rounds of 3 ground to overhead ( scaled to 55#s), 1 leg less rope climb (sub 2 from the ground), 100 meter run Time = 18:21
We started a SMOLOV squat cycle today, so back squats 3 x 8 at 65%, 1 x 5 at 70%, 2 x 2 at 75%, 1 x 1 at 80%. Then we did Nancy. 19:31 RX
Literal lol at the idea of squatting after 15.5!
Wasn't as bad as it could have been. We were warned that we would be starting the cycle so I did 15.5 on Friday and took Saturday and Sunday as rest days. I'm pretty excited for the cycle. We did it last year after the open was over and I saw some huge gains on all my lifts.
They originally posted that we would be doing "Triple" Fran. Ha! It was a joke. We're doing Helen. I'll have to scale the pullups since I can't do them well enough yet. I can get one kipping here and one there but not stringed together. Strength will be Romanian DL.

HA! I would have had a heart attack if I saw that! Our posted WOD was one burpee, but we are really doing Elizabeth. I'll scale the Ring Dips with a band. Strength is the same back squat series as Monday.

One burpee? I'm in and I'll still come in last! Me and burpees don't get along.
I peeped my final score for the Open and came out as top 100 for the scaled women's in my region. For 15.1 there were over 2000 women but as each week passed less and less people showed up on the leader board. Maybe they went RX on some wods. I did scaled throughout even though I could have RX'd some, or at least 15.5. I wanted to see where I stood amongst all the other scaled ladies. So, in the top 100 out of 550 is not too shabby!

Should we have a "weekly WOD" post each week to post wods and talk about them? To get itout of the 15.5 thread?
I jacked my back up this morning just warming up for back squat. Stupid pregnancy and SI joint issues working together. So, we were supposed to do hero WOD Danny, but instead I parked my butt on a foam roller and am headed to the chiropractor this afternoon.
