::NERD ALERT:: Not sure if anyone is familiar with Drum Corps International (simplistically, it's professional marching band). Their headquarters are in Indy and Championships are held at Lucas Oil every year. DCI has tons of gay participants and people are ripshit-pissed about this. There's petitions floating around calling for DCI to remove its headquarters from Indy, which would suck because the city and the organization have worked so closely together for years, and kids are saying they won't march at all if DCI doesn't take some kind of stand. I have no idea if anything will happen, and I highly doubt kids will give up marching when push comes to shove, but I'd like to see some action from them.
I was wondering about this. H did a summer and my sister thought about it but never pursued it. With championships being in Indy, I'm really hoping they take a stand and move elsewhere.
I never understand this shit. If not "the gays" or "legal discrimination", then what exactly does "religion" need the freedom to do that they can't already do?
