If it's not rice and beans or chicken nuggets, my kids aren't guaranteed to eat out if it's just us. This doesn't mean we only go to places w those options, though. Exposure and all that.
Peer pressure of a larger group though usually helps. Plus more things to try if it's family.
I think generally, barring really picky kids, the 8, 10, and 11yr olds should be set. I see basic things like french toast, the berries, eggs, pork belly.
The 3 and 2yr olds, not so much. Maybe the french toast if the leche isn't too strong or if they aren't picky. It doesn't seem like a very toddler-friendly menu.
That said, I'd probably call ahead and tell them the sitch and ask if they could just straight up scramble eggs w cheese. More toddler friendly. I'm a PITA though.
That's totally not at PITA.
A good restaurant is happy to accommodate and is the best place to ask for something like scrambled eggs with cheese (or whatever your kid will eat).
Your friend is annoying and needs to let go of her grudge, like whoa. Going to a restaurant without air conditioning when I presume it's quite warm where you are is not even remotely on the same level as going to a restaurant that doesn't have a kids menu but does have kid-friendly food.

I guess I get being annoyed if she had picky kids. But that's kind of on them, the menu seems fine. Again, especially for the older kids, I"m kind of eye-rolling at the annoyance for that.
But...for 2 years?! I wouldn't have even thought about it after a couple weeks lol.

miso, I cannot believe you did that to FWITH. It's a miracle she's even talking to you.
I can't believe she's still carrying that cross. She must have really had a bad time. W is pretty picky and if we can't find a menu online then we bring something with us. I remember when we ate together and the restaurant didn't have normal pancakes so eb777888 got her son some churros. Make it work, FWITH!
LOL I can't believe she's had this in her back pocket for that long.
I do like kids menus, though, only because they are usually less expensive, and I don't want to pay a lot of money for something my kid isn't going to eat anyway.
This is where twins are awesome.
Sometimes it's cheaper to have them split 1 adult meals onto 2 little plates.
WHAT?! FWITH is annoying to hold onto that for so long.
I can KIND of understand being annoyed there wasn't a high chair for the 2 year old, but when this happened to me with a nestie GTG (there was only 1 high chair available so I gave it to her so her younger son could have it), I just plopped M in my lap and we had a great time. I MISS YOU frkls!
Maybe I'm just #breezy, but I so do not have any animosity toward that day. I thought we had fun!

I felt so bad that day; I had done such a poor job of planning!
My kid is picky as hell, but he would eat the berries, the French Toast, and maybe the bacon. He might be coaxed into eating the potatoes, too, since he loves French fries.
