I'm trying to wait until may to get a foot to donate. I don't know if I can make it. The super long hair is driving me nuts!
My hair is super long and has been for a while, so a foot is easy for me. However, I usually donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and they only require 8 inches, so you may be able to donate sooner (unless you have a specific cause in mind that requires more). See their requirements here: pantene.com/en-us/brandexperience/prepare-your-hair. My main motivation for finally chopping off my hair is the warm weather - I'm getting very sweaty in my workouts, which means I have to wash my hair a lot more frequently and it's just so much easier to wash shorter hair.
No cause. I just do it every once in a while...usually when it starts getting annoyingly long and it's not far from the one foot length, then I'll wait it out. I don't think I've ever actually gotten a full foot yet but maybe one day lol. We'll see how long I can hold out with summer coming.
DH and I both have taken the day off, so we can go pick up my car (the one we had in Korea!) down in St. Louis. We'll be hitting the road soon!
And, I was asked to join a book club this week! It's a knitting and book club, with a particular selection of books that look like a lot of fun to read, so I'm happy about it. But, the first meeting is this Sunday, and I have a book and 2-3 chapters of another book to read before then. I'm not sure I'm going to make it.... Ah well. I'll bake some brownies for the meeting, and hope that makes up for not having finished the reading.
I want a knitting book club! I tried to get my book club to do a wedding planning session (3 members just got engaged) but no one was interested. Maybe I will just bring my knitting next time and see if anyone bites lol.
It's (strangely) not the first knitting book club I've been invited to join...
Both started as reading & knitting groups. Maybe that's the key element - they need to begin as both. This one is headed up by someone who feels bound and determined to convert everyone she meets into a knitter, so it might be part of that, too.
