I think we have a ghost. I'm not sure why else the Kinect keeps thinking someone is waving at it when it's just me and a cat in here right now. The cat is sleeping and I'm not even in the right spot for it to work. I don't get it!

As a fitting end to a soul sucking day (which, since my last update, further involved me breaking down crying over tassimo refusing to make the pumpkin spice latte I bought while ds2 cried through the grocery trip) I sliced open two of my fingers while taking the cap off of what was supposed to be a relaxing beer. That was an hour ago and they still sting painfully through the bandaids and I can't touch anything.
Oh and glitzy07 your thread made me get out the tape measure in our office and see if I can squeeze the desk and daybed in there. It's tight, but doable. I may tape it out this weekend and just let DH ask me what crazy scheme I have up my sleeve.
I have a cold. Between that and M's crappy sleep this week, I feel like trash. I'm drinking herbal tea with bourbon. I don't even like bourbon, but it's making me feel a little better!

Nice! I really want to go to Home Goods after perusing Pinterest all day instead of working. I think it's because my coworker just moved into a new gorgeous house (with a master closer and bathroom like all you rich bitches) and it just reminds me how much we want to do to our house. The home office thing could be relatively inexpensive, so it seems like an easy choice to start with!
I'm having a lot of anxiety over furnishing/decorating the house. Like so much I don't think it's normal can I blame pregnancy hormones for this?
We moved into our house in April 2013. The goal for that year was to move, and to have a baby. I didn't even try to really start decorating beyond stuff we already had till last year/this year. We're just now getting everything painted etc. Give yourself a break!
Dd1 was star of the week at school last week. One of the activities is each kid in the class writes a note to her. Almost every note said "I like you because you are a good friend" or "You are kind". Then I get to one which says:
"You are a bucket filler". Lol. wtf does that mean?? I would totally post a pic but it has the other kid's name on it.
Everyone has a "bucket". You can choose to fill their bucket by saying nice things, helping them, being kind to them, etc. When you do nice things your bucket fills up as well. You can also be a "bucket dipper" and that is when you do things to others that are unkind. It's a wonderful book and explains it great to kids. I love reading it to my class. Every teacher in my school uses it and I know it's really popular and is used all across the country.

I'm changing dinner plans from shepherd's pie to microwaved chicken pot pie because it is too hot to turn on the oven. I'll put it in the crockpot tomorrow instead. I think tonight we'll try the crib at bedtime instead of the rock n play. Gulp.
DH went out to the store to buy stuff for mimosas tomorrow morning for his D&D group. He brought me back a movie (Horrible Bosses 2) and diet cream soda. So I've planted myself on the couch with those things and that's where I'm staying!
I'm pretty sure I have strep. I was on the couch sick Monday afternoon, rallied a bit Monday night, was so-so Tuesday. Got through vacation fine with the help of Excedrin.
Now the drugs have worn off and my throat feels like cotton balls and is literally sore. My tongue is also all stiff and weird.
I haven't had strep in years. I had it a lot as a kid. Had it like 4 times the first year teaching, but not since really.
Off to the Saturday UC Clinic for a quick strep test in the morning I guess.
We survived Seaame St Live! DS loved it. I'm going to blame hormones, but I was tearing up to see how happy he was. Jaw dropped in awe, smiling.
Until he decided he was just done. We left about 10 minutes early. Poor guy is fighting a cold and was just tired from the combination of sickness/meds/excitement. The pedi upped his inhaler, put him on Prednisone, eye drops for pink eye... And as we came home, his ear started oozing yellow goo, so we started with ear drops again. Is winter over yet?
I am working on stripping/refinishing a buffet I found on the street a year ago. It's actually coming out really nicely!
While I wait for the stripper to work, I am watching Grey's anatomy and eating chinese food
This tickled my funny bone.
Drinking wine and watching American Greed.
Caramini has had an on-off fever up to 103 for 2 days. I am worried about what is going on. She seems fine and then I put my hand on her forehead and it is burning. It was 101.8 before bed. Ugh!
A few days ago, my H and I were talking about a married acquaintance whose match.com profile was discovered by a single friend of ours. H says, "I would never have a match.com profile...because mine would be under my pseudonym, Turd Furgeson" I will randomly think about it in the middle of the day or whatever and just crack up. I am so lucky I married someone with my same weird sense of humor!

Awww! We are seeing it in 2 weeks. I can't wait to see ds's reaction!
I decided to go for the wine because I'm having back cramps which means my period is imminent. I was mostly holding off on drinking in case I was pregnant.
I'm also watching Pitch Perfect for like the 5th time in three weeks, because it's on ABC Family.
Went to dinner tonight at a brand new pizza place. They definitely have some food timing issues to work on, but the food was really good once we got it!
DS has a sub in his daycare classroom. She cannot figure out how to fasten his cloth diapers properly, so he peed through two pairs of pants today. One at the restaurant. So, I wrapped him in a fresh diaper and my cardigan and sent DH to Target for new pants. No pants in public is acceptable when you're 19 months old right?!
Sorry you had a frustrating night, deej. I hate it when stuff like that happens!
We went out for dinner, then DD and I ran to Target while H got a few things from Menard's. She had an epic tantrum over me not opening a yogurt for her in the store. Screaming, throwing herself on the bottom of the cart, yelling MY YOGURT! MINE! YOGURT! OPEN YOGURT! for a solid 15 minutes.
I also had a GC to use at Bath and Body Works so I ran in to grab a couple of candles, which took about 15 seconds. The ladies in front of me in line were totally mystified about how all their promo stuff worked and kept leaving the line to get more things/swap things out. It took them about 7 minutes to check out. The only upside is that I heard her mention a coupon for a free item with purchase, and a quick google check got me a free $12 hand lotion.
We redboxed Into The Woods and are watching it now.
Also, I am ready to be done with this pregnancy business because I am paranoid about leaving big messes anywhere to come home to, so I feel like I am constantly doing laundry, zipping around for 10-15 minutes before I sit down wiping counters and loading the dishwashers, etc. Now I know how my neat freak mom and sister stay skinnier than me, LOL, and how their houses are perpetually clean. They never stop moving.

Binge watching t.v. on netflix. Finished Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Finished Death Comes to Pemberly. Started Southcliffe, which I may not be finishing.
Too awake to go to bed. I will regret this tomorrow.

We watched the last UKS episode yesterday and I didn't realize it was the end! Boooooo.
It was so funny.
But also sad. I'm from Indiana, and during the whole trial episodes I just kept thinking, "yeah...probably pretty close to how that would go". I'm only half kidding.
