Hi! I'm a high school teacher looking for recommendations for a True Crime Class I want to teach next year. The books can be either fiction or non fiction. Thanks!! So far I have:
The Trial Defending Jacob To Kill a Mockingbird and possible Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (but I have not read this one, so I'm not too sure) Thank you so much for any feedback or ideas!!

Who Killed My Daughter? by Lois Duncan would be good. She's actually a YA author and this book is about her daughter's unsolved murder. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children would not be appropriate. It is not a crime book. It is fantasy.

What age? If its predominately seniors you might be able to get away with having them read Damaged Goods. The plot/crime is like a bad soap opera/reality tv show: Murder, transvestites, money. The accused is one of my mom's old coworkers.
