Ugh. DH definitely feel asleep in her room. He really needs to stop this. I would love to hang out with him or on nights like tonight where I'm having trouble getting Andrew down, some back up. He was very restless and wouldn't go to sleep. Then he had explosive shit through his sleeper and sleep sack. At this point I changed him and brought him back to the living room. He's in the bouncer and shitting again. I really hope it isn't through another sleeper. I kind of want to go drag him out of her room but I know if I wake her, there would be hell to pay.
I'm having 40 bales of hay delivered tomorrow. H thinks I'm insane, but he has no vision. He told me that he is the manager of the family and I am the dreamer, lol. My mom actually wants 10 of them, but I'm using the rest to do something like this for all my vines (pumpkins, melons, etc.) and some to ring around a garden that I am going to turn into a hugel garden in the fall.
You are not insane. If you are insane then we can be insane together. I'm ordering a cubic yard of vermiculite online this week. Who mail orders dirt?
Also, have you ever grown butternut squash? Do critters generally leave them alone? We go through a lot during the fall and winter so it makes sense for me to grow some, but I don't have any room inside the fence for it!
I'm growing it on my food fort this year! Use a trellis and think vertically

Hmmmm.... Might try a couple just for fun. The fence is six feet tall... That's a lot of vertical room to work with. Do you just tie up the squashes in slings as they develop?

that's what is recommended, I'm just trying it for the first time myself, but I love the look
We had a great day. We went to the Air & Space museum, and Kai saw his first IMAX! It was all about the ISS. He loved it. Then I went and got my hair cut, which is essentially my version of a vacation at the moment, lol. Then we went out to dinner with our neighborhood BFFs, and afterwards they brought over brownies and mint ice cream, and we hung out while the kids wreaked havoc on the house. We love that family, and considering that they live across the street, we don't hang out nearly enough! I love the weekend.
Today Abby let on/discovered that there's no Easter bunny. I confirmed it to her, and she asked me to not mention it again before Easter "so I can still be surprised."

I am now convinced that Emmy has colic. We have spent many nights the last two weeks with her screaming for hours. She is fed, changed, swaddled and held. We use white noise, pacifiers and anything we can think of, but she just screams until she passes out about three hours later. It tends to hit between 10-1. I'm really hoping that once she kicks this cold it will get better. I'm so tired.
Both of my kids have pink eye in both eyes. Poor Oliver is a hot mess. Tomorrows Colin's birthday and I guess we are now canceling our plans. Womp womp.
Kat- I think kissing games are totally normal between same-age peers at this age. I would just let her know that your family believes that kissing is just for grown ups who love each other and between family members (or whatever it is you want her to know), and maybe repeat the "never let anyone do anything that makes you uncomfortable/your body belongs to you" conversation.
I wouldn't worry about it too much.
My random: DH put Sadie's dress on Charlie before we went out in public today. She looks ridiculous.

I'm checking in from kid free work like mad weekend.
It started yesterday with our inspection at 9am. My parents took the kids for the weekend. From about 1pm on, we've been going non stop. Started at Ikea for decor stuff and then cleaning, de-cluttering, and more cleaning.
I've barely had time to miss my kids because we've been so busy! We had lunch to day at a neighborhood Thai place we will miss terribly. It's starting to hit me we have only a month left here and life will be so different. In a good way.

There is a player on the Kentucky basketball team named Andrew Harrison! I can't help but giggle when I hear it, it sounds like my baby boy is a basketball star!
A friend had her 2nd baby Wednesday night so we took her toddler with us to the zoo today. The two girls played nicely together most of the day! On the way home from dropping her off, DH said 3 kids isn't that bad. I thought he was done done done given he STILL hasn't fully bonded with A, but maybe not? I definitely don't feel done so that was great to hear. Of course I plan to wait until we're in a better place. Thankfully he seems to be enjoying A more month after month -- he's not a baby person at all but loves toddlers.
You know what's a horrible idea? Having sex before you're 100% sure your yeast infection is cleared up. Ouch. It feels like I we used extra strength Bengay as lube! Fuck. My poor vagina...

I'm feeling so emotional after my grandpa's birthday party tonight. It was so, so fun and wonderful. I'm so upset that he has Alzheimer's, it just feels so unfair. He's still really early so I haven't really noticed it much, but it's obviously coming. I'm so glad he had a great night tonight. It was a huge party like a wedding, with a live band and everything. So much fun.
It's also midnight and I just put my kids to bed! Ahhhhh!

I am wide awake after that game. There has been sooooo much shit talking from all of our UK fan friends and I wanted ND to win soooo badly to shut them up. Jeff held his tongue through it all and I wanted the win for him most of all. Ugh! ND was ahead all freaking game. If they had 10 more seconds the whole outcome could have changed.

Your grandpa is adorable! I'm loving your IG feed
I wish I had a pic on my phone of all the kids in their shirts together, it was so cute!
