This year: find a job that pays me living wages that are fucking comparable to my experience/education. I am making the income of a damned college student.
5 years: Travel abroad. Have a good retirement and savings account going.
Do you have set goals for the year? The next 5? Next 10?
I have financial goals but that is about it. Other than that just living the dream! I do have a bucket list though and about 80% of it is places I want to travel. And I'm still decorating my house but I'm just taking that one step at a time.
This year: pay off all debt, get healthier and in better shape, start school either be promoted or have a VERY clear track/time frame of when that will happen.
5 years: Buy a house, be in a much better place financially with a large savings, healthy 401k, and a decent budget for making travel a much bigger part of my life.
10 years: I have no idea. Life changes so much I feel like even forecasting out 5 years is so hard.

I just want a job. All other plans/goals/wants do not matter until I get a job that pays a living wage. I'm on day 732 of not having a paying job and I am over it!

This is a really good post.
This year: Getting the promotion I have been waiting for a year. Looks like it will happen next month as I already had to apply for it. Get my Finances more under control.
5 years: I would like to get my masters.
10 years: I want to be more financially stable and for DD and I have to live more comfortably. I would love to own an apartment but real estate prices are sky-rocketing. I would also want to help out my parents more than I am currently doing.

I had some big changes in my career last year that really moved me forward and gave me more of a sense of direction. Before that, I was feeling like I could go anywhere but I was also overwhelmed by choices and being unsure. I basically finally had an opportunity open up that has allowed me to gain more marketable skills. It has also opened up a range of more focused career possibilities. A big part of my happiness in the past year has been because of that. I went from feeling like my career was stagnant to having something that I can work with, an outlet for my energies so to speak.
1st Year: This year is generally about building on the developments from last year. I'm focusing a lot on my career more than anything. I am also enjoying my relationship with BF and socializing when it fits into my schedule. I feel like the theme of this year for me is stabilizing and maturing. For the first time, I really feel a lot like an adult rather than a "young adult" but this is a good thing.
5 Years: Honestly, I'd like to get married and probably have a child by about 4-6 years from now. That's an approximation but it is generally what I want. I'm not ready for that now but I would be happy to go in that direction. I also want to do a lot of traveling and achieving of other milestones. I also have a general idea of the professional direction that I'd like to be going in. As I mentioned, the professional aspect is actually dominating my decision-making right now.
10 yrs: I'm less sure about this but I'd like to be happy. Also, I have a longer term goal of being more creative and to have a lot of interests and new things to explore even as I get older. I basically don't want to be a bored/boring person but someone who engages with life no matter my age.
