Ugh does sound like both. The 4 month wakeful is not cool neither is the clamping down. I'm already scared of that wakeful period, Lil was never the same after. I think that's when I changed nursing positions with Lil, I sat her up a little more. I don't think the teething lasts too long? A few weeks? I also would stand/sway while nursing her to distract her.
Oooh I'll try the swaying! I am so tired I think I don't even think of creative things anymore. I am nauseous. Just want to crawl in bed and sleep for three days straight.
I'm so sorry I really hope you get more sleep soon, being sooo tired and parenting 2 kids is not easy. Hugs

eav2c I hope you all feel better really soon! Are you going to go to the doctor? I hate sore throats!
blane12 maybe your supply is just regulating? Do you just feel less full? as long as his diaper output is fine you're good.
I guess maybe I should.... It is so bad I keep popping Tylenol and ibproufen. That is not like me at all. Normally mucous relief helps and that's not at all. I can't hear out of my right ear at all now so I don't really know what is going on. I need to get the boys in today. We sent the pedi a picture of Oliver and it's so bad she is concerned he has an ear infection (I didn't know lots of eye goop could mean that?). But we can't find a walk in clinic that will see him because he's under 18m.
artgal84 - I'm not sure. On the 14th, I was pumping 6 oz and now I'm only getting 2 even in the morning. I'm pumping and feeding bottles more than breastfeeding right now because he was already used to the bottle from the NICU It seems like every time I breastfeed, he falls asleep after 10 min and quits eating so I know he's not getting much. I can't constantly cluster feed w Blake here so the bottle makes more sense throughout the day. I think a lot of it is I'm not eating enough and drinking enough water (I didn't eat anything yesterday until 2p) but with all the dr appointments, and running around I'm having to do, it's tough. Plus, by the time I get both boys fed, changed, happy, it's time to start all over. It's just frustrating.

Oh no! It sounds like you could have an ear infection too. Can you all go to urgent care? I feel so bad for you guys, that sounds so miserable. I just want to make sure you're taking care of yourself too. Why does this stuff always happen on the weekend!?

I totally get you on the eating, it's so hard for me too. I bought some kind protein bars and I eat one of those for breakfast. Can you buy some protein bars and maybe shakes or powder to just grab and eat? Then I fill a big water bottle and try to drink that all day. Luke eats for only 10 min sometimes but he eats super fast. Try doing breast compressions while pumping too, that used to help me get another ounce or two at work. Whatever you do just know you're doing an amazing job with your boys! It's so hard right now, I am right there with you.
artgal84 - that's a good idea on the protein bars because I suck at getting enough protein in general anyway. I rented a hospital grade pump to help get it started too. thabks for the suggestions. I'm going to try and see what happens! It's crazy how much more time it takes to do things w two. B starts preschool next week so hopefully that will give me a chance to work on it!!
