Well, ok our dog started it but dh didn't help. We got home at 9:45 from seeing the Easter bunny and dinner. Ds2 slept in the car and is up so dh is reading to him on the couch. I start folding laundry on the family room rug. I tell dh I smelled something foul and our dog may have peed on the rug. He smells nothing.
Ds2 gets down and steps on something nowhere near where I was sitting and freaks out. Dh says he has something on his foot. Oh yeah. It is soft dog poop. I scoop in and pick him up so he doesn't tramp all over the rug and hand him to dh to go clean up while I deal with the poop in the rug (the last time something like this happened dh was like trying to use a dry paper towel for clean up).
I go in to check on them bc ds2 is screaming for mommy to come clean it up. And I don't blame him. The kids' bathtub has an inch of water in it, a TON of bath tub toys and a bath mat in it...and two smooshed dog poops about the size of chocolate chip cookies starting to break apart.
I mean the poop was on the bottom of the kids foot...you couldn't sit him on the bathtub and get most of it off before you plopped him in the tub or taken the toys out at least? I thought we were done with freaking code browns. Everything was clean. Now I am adding bleach bathtub crap to my to so tomorrow. I threw it all in the sink. Too tired to deal with it tonight. Argh. I started the day with pee everywhere bc I forgot to put a nighttime diaper on ds2 and I ended it with poop !

Oh my! Not quite the same, but I was at the park today with my pup and some bad doggy parent didn't clean up after their own and squish it went into the treads of my tennis shoe. I don't care how powerful the sprayer on my hose is, I just feel like I need to toss those shoes!
Dude didn't even apologize. I tried to goad one out of him and he was all "I was just doing what you told me to do, which wAs put him in the bathtub." I was like I feel bad for all your coworkers if this is your idea of common sense!

Oh, I hate this. "I was just doing what you TOLD me. If you'd TOLD me to wipe the piles of shit off his feet before hand I'd have done that but you DIDN"T so it's all YOUR FAULT" is the message here, and it just frosts my ass when dh does this sort of thing.
OMG yes! It's like on the one hand, they try to play that they're so inept, they can't do any more than exactly what you told them, but when you tell them the minute detail, they're all "I KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR MY KID!"
