My water trickled out, I went to the hospital to confirm my water had broken. I was having tightening in my belly and a little lower back pain. Within 9hours I was having contractions. The hospital broke the rest of my membrane to get my contractions going stronger.
I had to call right away f my water broke, they wanted to see me within 2 hours. It broke at 6am, I went in, my water kept leaking. No contractions. At 1pm, they started Pitocin. I had full blown painful contractions by 4pm and she was born at 7pm.
My water broke at 3pm, strong labor began around 6:30pm, and C was born at 4:08am. They can test if it's amniotic fluid, and odds are they'll admit you if it is; they don't want to risk infection. Good luck!

I called and the nurse told me to put on a pad and monitor it for an hour and see if it fills up. She said if it's slow (like it is right now) then I can come in at 1pm and they will test it to see if it's amniotic fluid, if it fills up then they want me to go into the hospital.

With baby #5, I had a decent gush at 9:00pm on a Wed. I texted my midwife to let her know and put a pad on and went back to bed. The next morning came and still no labor. I continued getting some gushes here and there mostly when I changed positions while doing pelvic tilts. I induced labor early afternoon on Thanksgiving, last dose at 2:00pm. Contractions started right around 3:00pm and she was born just after 5:00pm.
Contractions did not start until 18 hours after the first gush. It usually starts 12-24 hours after SROM in the majority of cases.

#1: broke in a big gush at home around 9 pm, contractions started four hours later, baby at 6:30 am. #2: broke in a big gush at home after a slow leak around midnight, contractions started immediately, baby by noon.

Water broke at 8:30 am - no contractions - went to the hospital around 2pm - still no contractions - got Pitocin at some point and had DS around 9:30pm. So 13 hours.
the leaking has really slowed down.. i will feel so dumb if it's nothing ha
Dude. You're due to have a baby any day now. There is nothing to feel dumb about. You're leaking something. Chances are so super slim that this is "nothing".

No, this is normal, the fluid level drops, so does the baby so they stop the fluid from coming out. It's gravity My fluid had a pinkish tint too, I do think this is it for you (now that I have the benefit of hindsight)
Were you positive for group B strep? If so, they will want to start an induction if you have not started contractions on your own within 12 hours of your water breaking. Anything longer than that and you risk infection to the baby. I'm pretty sure you should be checked in at L&D long before your 1pm appointment. If you are Group B Strep positive, they will also want to administer 2 bags of antibiotics before you deliver over a 4 hour timeframe. Don't wait till the last minute to get there.
With my son, I woke up to menstrual like cramping at 1:20am then got to the hospital at 4am at 8cm dilated. My water never broke until DS was crowning an hour later. because I was GBS positive and had not had antibiotics in my system for 4 hours prior to him passing through the birth canal, he had to stay in the hospital an extra day.
My water broke around 1:45am, we went right to the hospital and contractions I could actually feel started a few hours after they put me on pitocin which was around 8am I think. Kid showed up at 6:42am the next day, so roughly 29 hours later.

well, leaking is still slow, it comes and goes in small gushes. I was laying down for a bit and felt a gush, wiped and now it's stopped for a while. only added addition is i have some mucus mixed in there now. yay. sorry for the TMI. my body is doing something, i guess i'll find out what in about an hour.
I was induced so my experience was a little different, but I want to say that my water didn't break on its own and they broke it about three hours after they started pitocin and about four hours between I was being wheeled into the emergency room for a csection.
I was induced, too, before my water broke. I was holding a baby one hour and fifty minutes after my water broke.
