DD1 is 3. Lately she has been complaining of headaches - for the past 4-5 days. It's usually at night, so I at first, chalked it up to stall tactics before bed. But now I'm getting worried.
She went to the dr last week and they put her on amox for the beginning of an ear infection. She still has thick green snot.
Daycare just called and said she has said twice her head hurt. She has been drinking a lot of water, no milk
Any thoughts? Of course, I go to worst case scenerio.
I think maybe she has a sinus headache. I would suggest calling her pedi just for some reassurance/warning signs, but I think she might just need some Tylenol.
If she's got a lot of drainage and congestion, it could be a sinus headache.
So back to the Dr or wait for the amox to kick in. She's been on it since Friday.
I might call the nurse line for peace of mind, but probably just treat with OTC headache meds and maybe some shower steam to loosen it up. That's what I would do if I had a sinus headache and was already on antibiotics.

Steamy shower/bathroom time. If you have a scentsy put some vicks in it and plug it in in the bathroom. and put vicks on her feet tonight with socks on after. Lots of fluids (but limit/avoid milk), and tylenol for the pain. Wouldn't hurt to call just in case there is a safe decongestant or something they can recommend (I doubt it but never hurts to ask the professionals) that might help.

Shower steam, OTC meds, and LOTS of water. Seriously, as much water as she'll drink. I know it's hard at 3 but if you can make sure at daycare that's all they give her (milk maybe w meals only?) I think it'll help. It'll help thin out the mucous. Maybe bring a water bottle for her.
Thank you ladies! Daycare said she thought maybe sinus headache too. I did call the nurse who is going to check with Dr just in case. I did wonder about her vision. H had horrible eyesight and had glasses young. I have glasses now too.
Between this and DD2 being in the hospital with RSV last week, I am over this sick stuff!
I'm going with sinuses. It wouldn't hurt to get her in for an eye exam either. Did her pedi say whether or not you could give her baby advil? (or is it real advil at that age?)

She can have tylenol and ibuprofen. They nurse was going to check with the Dr and get back with me if she wanted to change up her antibiotic

That's good! Hopefully she starts feeling better soon. Those sinus headaches are no joke. Alissa gets them, and it's like the world has ended because the advil isn't working fast enough.
