There was not a single only Mulan item to be found in the whole of Disneyworld or downtown disney.
I was sad, esp since I dressed as Mulan for the princess half
Of course not. She's a minority who didn't wear big flouffy gowns, nor was she a traditional princess.
True, but they did have a very few Pocahontas, and a few more Tiana and Merida, who seem to be the other unloved princesses. I was actually surprised by the lack of Mulan, though, because the sheer number of items in those stores, including stuffed Pegasus from Fantasia and a Marie from Aristocats.

Please oh please let them actually cast a Chinese actress for this role. I still feel some kind of way about a Korean lady playing Mulan on Once Upon a Time. #notallasians
The Chinese live-action film Hua Mulan is pretty good. It's in Mandarin and doesn't feature a tiny dragon, but still good.

Ok. I like this game. Dream Cast?
• Maggie Q as Fa Mulan • Eddie Murphy as Mushu Dragons ain’t go no race, y’all • Harry Shum Jr as Captain Li Shang • Tzi Ma as Shan Yu • Jimmy Wong as Yao • Russell Wong as Ling • Kenneth Jeong as Chien-Po (you know he is going to be in this movie) • James Hong as Chi-Fu • BD Wong as Fa Zhou (sorry, BD, not more romantic heartthrob for you, old man) • Ming Na as Grandmother Fa (Nice tie in to the animated movie, and nope, she’s not old enough) • Jackie Chan as The Emperor of China • George Takei as First Ancestor (Takei gets to stay. Yes, I know, Japanese American) • Lauren Tom as The Matchmaker • Freda Foh Shen as Fa Li • Daniel Dae Kim as General Li (Yes, I know he is Korean, but any movie at all without him is not worth watching. Jack Kang in Candor?? YES!)

Incorrect. Godfrey Gao is not in this list. Try again.

So are they just going to redo all the Disney princess movie as live action now? Is that the deal? Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and now Mulan?
I mean, Mulan is my favorite and I'm all kinds of excited to see Emma be Belle, but damn. Let's find some fresh ideas.

I worked at Disney World when this movie came out and my fellow interns and I would take turns calling each other and putting ourselves on hold so we could listen to the soundtrack since it was the hold music at the time.
