and yeah I think it's not so much that matildas not a baby any more (like TrudyCampbell said that doesn't really bother me) it's the fact that she used to be the size william is and now she's big and barely any time has passed and that means i'm going to blink and william will be 3 and I won't have any more snuggly baby or stocky toddler

artgal84 thanks! I never imagined she would nurse this long and I'm happy it's coming to a peaceful end, we shall see how she does when her baby brother arrives. Hopefully she won't be too jealous. Did L pick out a my little pony stuffed animal? M just discovered those characters so I have a feeling she will pick out one of those when we go.
Really, trough feeding @tambcat? Babies eat with their hands, it's not like E is a caveman among all these utensil using 8 month olds.
lol she wants to spoonfeed her until she's old enough to use a fork and spoon herself. Sorry, but
She must not be as lazy as I am because I'd much rather dump a bunch of food on his tray than spoonfeed him while he tried to rip the spoon from my hands.
I have joked in the past that all of the girls in Andrew's class are essentially the same. Here's a picture from yesterday to prove it. (There are two more, also the same)
This is exactly like G's class. There are 7 girls and 3 boys. All the little girls are curly blondes. It's really cute
We colored eggs today and now macy wants to sit and play with them, she's pretending they're a family, there's a mom and dad they all have names etc. I was planning on having egg salad for lunch don't think its gonna happen now lol.

I've been working on getting Nolan to use a spoon. He just looks all confused and holds it toward me saying, "eat?" I'm pretty sure he is thinking, "this is YOUR job."

Yes she picked it. I told her she could pick any one she wanted and that's what she picked. She doesn't even watch the show she just loved the ponies! It was fun. surprisingly Lil is not jealous of Luke nursing, I was pretty surprised. Maybe it's because she weaned on her own so slowly and we talked about it a lot?
I just left target a vm asking them to call me back about Nolan's 3 year pics. I'm very happy with the 8x10, but all of the smaller versions of the best shot have the top part of his head cut off. Boo
@tambcat My nanny took a lot of persuading to let A feed himself but now loves it with J.
Its the opposite here! From the day I started I had A feeding himself, and he has since learned to eat with a fork very efficiently. His parents refuse to let him feed himself though, and still spoon feed.
I mean, whatever they want, but I want to eat too! Its so much easier to throw him in the chair and let him have at it while I eat my lunch.
Do you guys remember my Easter egg hunt story from last year? We had another crazy experience this year. I'll C&P what I posted in my other BMB as a refresher, and it has the story from this year.
The area that I nanny in is pretty fancy, and they own three parks in the neighborhood. Last year for Easter, they hosted an Easter egg hunt at one of these parks. They had certain times you could show up depending on your kids age. They spent a lot of time and money on decorating, and filled the eggs with some nice candy and swag. Very awesome of them. Well, on the day, I took the boys (I was nannying a different kid) and it was INSANE. Parents were crazy. When the gates opened, parents rushed in, started hoarding eggs, and stood guard so their kid could gather them. We were like tenth in line, and both boys got 5 eggs each. Whatever. Well, there was a little boy crying because by the time he got there, there was none available, even though the hoarders were still guarding their piles of eggs, and I heard one tell him "go get your own." The mom of that kid was so shocked, as was I. I asked my boys if they could share to make him feel better, and they each handed over two eggs. (proud moment). As that mom and I were standing there talking about this experience, we watched a man walk in alone, pick up a basketful of eggs from another adult, and walk out. WTF. So we both complained to the 'security' and all they could do was apologize and tell us how shocked they were at the behavior themselves. Oh yeah! And adults were STEALING all the decorations. Like, plucking the things out of the ground, taking off the taped up stuff, and cutting balloons away, and walking out. Mind you, we were the first group. By the time the second group came, there was literally not one decoration left. (I was so fascinated by this insane behavior I waited and watched, lol).
Fast forward to this year. I had already told nanny mom I would not participate in a egg hunt hosted by this community, and told her this story. She had no issue. So, last week the signs went up, and it turns out there would be a meet and greet with the bunny, and he would hand out two eggs to each child. Cool. That I can do. Or so I thought. At 330, I walk down with the kids (Thank GOD I didn't tell them what we were doing. I just had a feeling). OMG. The park was PACKED. I thought for sure they would have closed it off, and started a line. Nope. The boys run off, and I thought, ok, we will just play. Its a large place, and DS can mostly handle himself, so I was sticking close to nanny boy. All of a sudden, DS comes running over to me, telling me he was pushed, and that lady yelled at me. He was pointing at a grown woman. Now, I don't know what he could have done, but I was watching him go up and down a slide. I believe he was yelled at for walking up a slide. Not something he should do, but not something you yell at another kid for. THEN! A grown man goes barreling through the structure, knocks over nanny kid so hard he falls and hits his head on the metal bars.
Now I'm done. I went to go confront him, but the Bunny shows up, and parents, yes, parents rush him to hold their kids spot, and I see two fights break out between adults. What the ever loving fuck. This place is PRICEY. Not the kind of place you'd expect to see that behavior.
So I scoop up the kids, take them to Starbucks, and treat ourselves to chocolate milk and chocolate chip cookies. Way better than a plastic egg.
Ya. He cried, and has the SLIGHTEST bump on his head. I already iced it and called his mom. She had me send her a picture because she just wants to let the management office know what happened. She's totally not mad, but she just wants them to either encourage better security during events like this, or better adult management, lol.
The bump is basically gone already, so not anything to worry about.
Is Harrison to matchy with Jackson? Out of the list I sent DH, Harrison is his favorite but I'm not sold just yet. I also loathe the nn Harry (sorry). We've done a great job not using nn with Jackson, but I just do not want people calling him Harry.
DH is Harrison, he has never had a nickname. Ever. I think he might have beaten anyone who tried.
Allergist appointment this morning- skin testing- still severely allergic to eggs, peanuts, treenuts. Still severe enough all we talked about was continued avoidance and epipen treatment Luke was a sport though, it's a rough appointment
then Build a Bear to put his binky in! He picked out a cute giraffe. He's napping now and naps without it for school but around 2am he usually cries for binky. Hope he can do it!
@dragonmommy422 you should come to Columbus just to attend our Easter Egg hunt. It's very orderly and everyone got eggs. Seriously, though, that's despicable behavior.

The huge one through our church is so awesome. Nobody acts like this and they've been doing it for years. I have no idea why people can't handle themselves at this one.
