What is he trying to do today? You have to let us know how it goes!
I am on a call that I am supposed to lead. For the third week in a row, the group is still hung up on components of the work that need to be complete before we can work on my part. They are terrible at building consensus and I want to poke my eyes out. These are two hour calls.
The universe played a prank on me. There is a carpenter bee infestation in my garage. I am phobic of all things bee-like. Terminex can't come until tomorrow. Not entirely positive how I will sleep tonight.
My employer sent out a prank, it was pretty decent.
The laundry room at my apartment has new locks. I was not given a key or notified. I'm irritated and sent an email to them last night. I haven't heard back. I guess I have to call them.
Today has been such a weird day. I woke up 5 minutes early. Usually I'm rushing to get ready and get out the door and I end up being late to work. Today I got ready and still had time to do things around the house. I still managed to leave 10 minutes early. I got to work 30 minutes early. I'm wondering if I forgot to do something this morning. This just isn't adding up.
I can't say this was "good" but I received a fake resignation email from a direct report today.
Today was the employee's first day back from vacation. The first 14 words looked like a resignation letter. Then it was closely followed by an APRIL FOOLS.
Last year our IT Director sent out the "preview of our new website" that was going live that weekend. It was horrible, but just good enough that no one thought it was a joke until he told everyone at the end of the day. I thought it was pretty good.
Facebook is always full of fake pregnancy announcements, which I find sort of sad for all the family members who are all excited.

This is weird to me.
Agreed! Serious side eye...
What makes it even more weird is the joke was that said employee was going to run off and join the circus. LOL.

I think the circus part makes it awesome.
I heard of one prank today where team members filled their lead's cabinet with punched paper hole things.
The last time I got pranked was while overseas for a business trip and our hosts told us a helicopter had landed behind the building in the parking lot. My coworker and I totally fell for it.
DH acted like he was giving his 2 weeks notice. I was horrified when I found out after the fact since I would have told him never to do this! The boss' wife egged him on to do and said he'd think it was funny, so I guess it was ok...I think the boss was about to make him an offer to stay, lol.
