jjwritergirl and I had a discussion previously about how hard it is to find good hair ties. I have found some that are awesome! They're called Emi-Jay hair ties. For once I don't have to choose between 2 twists and it being too loose, or 3 twists and getting a headache.
MrsAggie I have similar ones that I actually found at the dollar store. They work pretty good and almost look like a bracelet when I wear it on my wrist when my hair is actually down.
I was up all night sick. I think I finally caught the stomach bug that has been going around. We currently don't have a supervisor at work and I couldn't get in touch with anyone to call out so I am siting here at work. Hopefully I make the day. I have an new employee riding with me later so I plan on making him do all the work.

I signed up for Birchbox, and last month they sent me an amazing perfume sample, Harvey Prince Hello. Now I'm dying to buy it, but the cheapest is 21.00 for 8.8ml. UGHHHHH FWP

That's actually cheaper than a lot. My sister asked for a perfume at Christmas that started at over a hundred dollars for an itty bitty little vial.
This is true jjwritergirl. My bday is coming up in Aug, maybe I can get hubs to get it for me.
jjwritergirl If I had a nickle for every time DH and I had a paint disagreement....I could retire and play on Pinterest all day. We were on two totally different spectrums. Back then, I didn't do so well with compromising. I wish I had Now, I'm super into compromising....but he now wants the color schemes I like. Go figure
Paint would give me gray hair....if I didn't color it! ha!

I ordered a 50 pack of these from Etsy a couple years ago. Search "foldover elastic hair" and you'll find a bunch of options for much cheaper than Emi-Jay. They're my favorite kind of hair ties now. Colorful, they hold my hair without pulling, and don't leave horrible dents in my hair.
jjwritergirl, DH has one room that is his (well 2, if you count the garage). He knows that the rest of this house is mine mine mine to decorate. I'll ask for his input, but he knows the final decision is mine. It helps that he is color blind, so all color decisions are up to me anyway.
I liked almost all the paint colors in our house when we moved in, so we left them as-is. I never painted before and am nervous about trying. I plan to paint our bedroom eventually - it's one of only two rooms that are stark white. I'd probably choose a gray color.

Well when my dishwasher jammed last night I thought it was clogged, but turns out it's an electric problem. There's some sort of loose connection. My property manager is here trying to fix it. Thought he had it and then it went out again. Ugh.
My dog got her stitches out - yay! She's still sporting a Planes-themed sock over that area since she wants to lick it. DS apparently doesn't remember it was his and was saying "I didn't know they made fancy dog bandages like that!" lol.
My mom is coming over soon to hang out and let me get some stuff done. DH's best friend and wife arrive from out of state around 1 pm today...really excited to see them! Also looks like we're going to do our first overnights with C at my parents house...two nights out of our house. Excited and scared all at the same time...plus this means tons of driving and we have a 50% chance of C screaming or sleeping (nothing in between)...praying for lots of sleep! Excited that we will get to have some time away from C and help with him if we need it (the past two weeks have been a nightmare WRT sleep and I am now calling in all resources for help so I can survive). Looks like we'll get a little date night, enjoy a BBQ with friends, and Easter with my family and all of C's little cousins!
so I saw my primary doctor yesterday at work, and let him know about my cholesterol levels from last week (he's the one who had been treating it for years). he was unfazed, lol. "yea, that's a little high, but I expected it to go up while you're pregnant." oh, huh. one of the OBs I work with said that cholesterol usually increases in pregnancy because it is used to make baby's hormones, and that it is slightly more elevated in women carrying boys, since testosterone is almost all cholesterol.
I'm trying to motivate myself to put some real clothes on and take E for a walk. It's so nice out! E is also sleeping right now though so I'm going to wait until he wakes up again to get him ready. I should take advantage of him sleeping though and at least get myself ready..
MrsAggie Thanks for sharing! I've seen them on people's wrists but never thought they'd work well enough to try.
Last night my husband and I had our first major paint disagreement. Major as in, our ideas were totally different, not as in a major fight. We already bought his color so we are going to use it. He *promised* we could paint over it if I hate it. We will see. Sometimes it would be easier to each have our own house, or else to designate rooms to each other.
H got to paint the basement (where his computer and video games are) the color of his choice (Dark red). I got to paint the spare room (where my computer is/was supposed to be kids room) and the upstairs bathroom my color choices (spare room = turquoise, bathroom was purple, but now it's grey).
The rest of the house (all of main level and the master bedroom) are neutrals.
I just looked on Linked In at companies to potentially apply to and I'm already overwhelmed. I hate job searching SO much and it gives me a lot of anxiety. I just want to find a similar job to what I have now for at least the same pay, just in a different location. I wish it was easier to find what I'm looking for!
I was skim reading as I scrolled and combined estrellita and grover's posts. I read it as grover pulled a stomach muscle. I was thinking daaaang, how did that happen? Lol
I hope you feel better grover and I hope E doesn't get your H's bug, estrellita.
