I ask because neither DH nor I like them but it seems EVERYONE else does. I want to see if we are actually weird about this by conducting this very scientific poll.
Gross! I'm surprised so many people like them. I was annoyed when I went to an Italian place with BFF and they didn't mention the side of veggies was a gross pile of mushrooms with sauce that got all over everything. I assume side veggies are things like carrots, broccoli, green beans, etc. That said, I will get the fried rice at Leeann Chin (although last time I got it there were no mushrooms?) and pick them out, and I can sometimes stomach things with cream of mushroom in it. H doesn't like mushrooms either. My dad is the only person in my immediate family that will eat them. H's family puts them in things even though his spoiled brat cousin doesn't like them either (shocking they don't make her own meals). We just don't eat the item it's in and every time we get "oh, you don't like mushrooms?" I think I'm only bitter because my family is really good about taking into account things people don't like. My sister always gets special stuff without onions! Onions and mushrooms can be really hard to pick out of things, unlike tomatoes which I also don't like.

LOVE THEM. I'll eat most mushrooms. I grew up with the kind that were in a can and I'll eat them straight out of the can. I do like them sauted with onions and Worcester sauce to though. Hubs hates them.
estrellita I hate them but H loves them. I've made it up to the point where I will eat the mushroom juice in my chicken a la king recipe, but that's it. Luckily FIL hates mushrooms too, so MIL will cook whatever with and without mushrooms so I'm safe there!
