I'll answer too. We do indoors, even though DS has expressed that he wishes it was outdoors. We live in New England, and AT BEST, it would be 45 degrees and sunny Easter morning. More likely it would be 30 degrees and drizzling, with leftover snow still on the ground, like today. But either way, I just can't get behind changing out of our comfy PJs and into cold/wet weather gear at 6:30 in the am. And it's not like waiting is an option with DS.
Yea we always do it after church, so hiding them inside the night before holds no value to me - I'd just have to find ways for them not to hunt in the morning!

Indoors. It's not even that the weather is iffy--we are outside in 30 degree weather bundled. They are a treat from the Easter bunny and I have zero desire to go out at 8pm to hide them and hope critters don't get to them overnight or set an alarm before 530 when dd gets up to do them. Fucccck that. We did three Egg hunts outdoors in the community so they got that experience.

We hide eggs indoors. I like Easter and like it to be fun for them, but I also don't have the energy or motivation to go all out. Around here most people hide the baskets and do scavenger hunts with hints in the eggs to find the basket, and that is too much work for me. And weather around here is iffy on Easter, so it's safer to just do it inside. I take them to egg hunts that are outside if it is nice though (this year it wasn't so we went to one egg hunt at the place ds takes gymnastics.
Bunny leaves them inside. No way I am going outside in the cold dark to hide eggs and then getting everyone bundled up in the am to go outside, plus, we often have crappy, cold weather and maybe rain or snow. Kids get up and get us, and then search in their PJs in the nice warm house.
If Grandma & Grandpa or other relatives host an egg hunt in the afternoon, then sometimes it's outside if the weather permits.
