Not looking for legal advice!
I have a friend who is trying to recoup back wages from her former employer. She has filed with the Magistrates Court (she says its the GA version of small claims court) and got a notice telling her that her case is being sent to mediation. It says she is responsible for the fees but it doesn't say what the fees are. Does anyone know what mediator fees run in Georgia? She lives in Rincon (if that helps any).
We charge $700-1000 an hour, split equally between the parties. We are a national firm in Atlanta, though, and our mediator has decades of experience and is highly sought after. In Rincon, I would think a mediator might charge $400-500 an hour?
