After not doing a single race last summer (with the exception of a 5k sprint Tri relay) I now have things to train for!
My plan is to do a couple of sprints (have not signed up for yet)
Mt. Si relay: 58 mile one day relay race with five teammates. I'm a little scared because I haven't been doing more than 30 minutes of running at a time. I'm really excited though it should be fun!
RAMROD July 30- 150 mile ride around mount rainier.
I feels so great that I can get out there again, even though I'm starting at square one!

6/13, 7/18, 8/22 - sprint tris (I'm only registered for the June one right now, I may decide to only to one of the July and August ones.) 9/12 - Olympic tri

I have a busy schedule and am using some of the races as long runs for marathon training.
Run to Remember Half 5/24 Newburyport Half 5/31 Yankee Homecoming 10 miler 7/25 Monadnock Half 8/9 NH 10 miler 8/29
Plus some smaller races 5k's, 5 miler, 10k's. Those are up in the air at the moment and I'll register closer to the races. I might run another half in September as a long run as well for marathon training as the mileage matches up.
As of right now I'm only doing a 5k on Memorial Day weekend. Then it's as if the Houston area just shuts down as far as races go! I'll be training starting probably July (I should really find a program) for my early October marathon, so I guess I'll just be focused on that. Boring...
Well, I see my Dr for my 6w postpartum checkup on weds, and so I have a "run" planned for weds evening after babies are in bed! So, I'm not really scheduling much because I don't know how long it will take me to get back into running shape.
Tentatively, there are 3 local halfs that I love: one in aug, sept, and oct. I may try to do some of the local sprints in aug as well. if things are going ok, I'll probably be more focused on a winter marathon and a 70.3 for next summer.

I haven't even begun to plan yet! I need to look at the Seattle area race calendar. I know I'll be doing the Poulsbo Viking Fest 5 Mile, because it's the week after we move in. I'll do the Poulsbo Full in the fall, and I have a summer 5K at a work conference, and I'm hoping for a PR there. Other than that, I have no idea
Nj half 4/26 Buffalo marathon 5/24 Theres some little things in june im going to decide about after my marathon when i see how i feel The little tri i did last year

I was waiting to see what you might be up to!
<3! I'm feeling a bit nervous to "start over," but excited!!
Any recs for a July/August/sept 70.3? I would love to do Boulder again but it's in June now instead of August, and June is a really busy month for me.

There is a 10k on may 9th bi am considering. The probably nothing till fall I don't think the do many races in the summer too hot. If they do I Wil try to do another 10k in June or July. I haven't really looked yet
5/3 Frederick 1/2 5/9 Harper's Ferry 1/2 Then a few 5k-10k's over the Summer. I'm not shooting for PR's in any of these so it will be fun to just race.
ETA: Lake Stevens is probably more family friendly, and we love Seattle! You in for '16?? chw57? A trip up the coast with the babes? They have an Ironkids for our E's!

When I saw you liked it on Facebook I was like 'whaaaat, already?!' But count me in for 2016!

chw57joenali! Omg! This is the first time I've wabted to touch my bike in 10 months! I'm so excited!
fYI, Lake Stevens is not as pristine as the IM website says! Lol! Think gun racks and bicyclist haters! So maybe not so family friendly? Ok, it's not that bad, I don't want to scare you off!
For the first time in two years, I have ZERO comps on the horizon and I feel really liberated lol. I won't turn anyone down if they ask me to be on a team, but I am not leading the charge and I like it. I'm training for me and me only and I love it.

Lol!! Well, there's an Ironkids at least. And we would stay in Seattle and make a little vaca out of it! It does sound quite beautiful a la ironman.com though.
