Is the gas mileage really as good as they are stating it is? They said it should be as good as my Mazda 3 which is hard to believe considering it's a crossover. What else did you test drive first?
I don't have one, but when I test drove the CX-7 a few months ago I asked about the CX-5 and they told me they get awesome mileage. They didn't have one there for me to drive because they had already been sold. I see them all around town now and I love the way they look!
I do! I got it 5/24. I got the Touring with sunroof/Bose package in stormy blue. Most of my driving is suburban stop and go and I get 27-28 mpg. I've taken a few highway weekend trips and got 31-33 mpg. The only thing that I don't like is that the side mirrors vibrate a bit during highway driving.
I also looked at the CRV, rav 4, highlander, pilot. I decided I didnt need a third row now. The Mazda had more features and options for the price than the CRV or rav4. Plus those 2 are super popular here and I wanted something different.
Good to know, tripleshot. I think the CRV is the only other thing that I am going to test drive before I decide what to get.
They are actually no longer making the CX-7, the CX-5 replaced it. Another fun fact is that the CX-7 and CX-9 were on last year's list for the 7 most dangerous cars in america because of roll over issues. I asked the guy about this, who was horrified that I brought it up and the issue was supposedly fixed in the CX-5.
I don't, but i had a CR-V and loved it and I think the new ones have even more features than mine did. It seems the mpg is going to be comparable, so it might just come down to which you like driving more.
