I think I'm having maternity hot flashes. Is there such a thing? I swear to god I'm having hot flashes. I just start sweating profusely and get SOOOO hot! It is killing me at work.
On the upside, my coworker just visited with his 3 month old little girl. OMG she is SOOOO cute! I just wanted to hold her and sqeeze her! I kind of can't wait to meet mine!
I was going to vent about my MIL but it would turn into an essay. Basically she keeps using the term "MY BABY" and then insists on buying their own car seat for their car.

OMG that would be SO annoying (the "my baby" thing). Nobody claims my baby except for me and H! I mean, it is probably good for them to have a carseat if they'll be babysitting and stuff though. But I'm guessing she's in BEC territory and I'm sure it is justified.

I'm bored out of my mind stuck in this hospital bed. Especially given that it's 73 and sunny outside. The doctors wouldn't let my DH take me in a wheelchair outside when he was visiting earlier. They may allow it in the coming days assuming I'm stable.

I haven't really been hot but have definitely read about other women feeling that way while pregnant. My mom said she was like a furnace when she was pregnant with me. If anyone called my baby their baby I would rage. Thank god no one has. I've had a lot of lightening crotch today and more BH than usual. But otherwise still pretty much ok. My coworker made cupcakes and I had way too many.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine being stuck in the hospital. I hope your H is keeping you supplied with magazines and stuff to do! I'm thinking good thoughts for you!
My 4 am insomnia has returned. Colour me not impressed.
I am staring to find that I overheat very easily these days. I seem to typically be wearing 1 layer less than everyone else at this point.
Oh yeah I was wide awake at 4am today myself, forgot about that. Don't know how since I'm drooping over my work station here! I woke up to pee and then my mind started going, THEN my stomach started growling so I got up and had cereal. Went back to bed around 6 and dozed lightly for an hour. Early to bed for sure tonight.

This is me exactly, except the hungry part. During yesterday morning's bout of insomnia I got hungry but not today.
We are moving tomorrow. I just don't feel quite as organized as I would like to be. I don't feel like I can do quite as much as I normally would either. I'm getting tired so easily.
At least we have really great movers. And they are packing our kitchen tomorrow morning, so I haven't had to deal with that.

Oh yeah, sleeping these days SUCKS. I think the baby grew and is pushing on my bladder more. I now get up exactly every 2 hours at night. It sucks so much. I'd really like to enjoy sleeping for a few more weeks before the baby comes. Maybe it really is nature's way of getting you ready to breastfeed the baby every 2 hours. I'm so freaking tired already.
I'd like to not be sick anymore. I want a good nights sleep. One that doesn't involve coughing my lungs up or being so congested I can't breathe. Pretty please.

My boss is being a giant drama queen.
I'm dealing with a judge who I SWEAR doesn't read my papers. She reads the other side and believes every word they say without reference to actual cases and then doesn't bother reading my argument. And the other side flat out lies.

I was up from 1-4 this morning. The cat started meowing at 5:30. And then again at 6:30. I am so tired. And my back is aching (has been all day), but I have a work event this weekend so I'm trying to power through without whining too much because I'll freak my boss out.
As much as I want to hold out until May 1 so my prematurely ordered necklace is correct, I am done being pregnant now.

I accidentally hit reply instead of forward and sent a snarky email to a participant instead of a coworker. The email itself could have been worse, thankfully, but I have been dying of embarrassment ever since. I'm usually so careful with that, and check and double (triple!) check, but apparently not this time. I swore I wouldn't let pregnancy cloud my brain, but I keep finding that I am not remotely articulate sometimes, and I've turned into a terrible typist. I blame lack of sleep, but I am really annoyed that I cannot get it together.
Not pregnancy related, but involves my 6yo. My MIL scheduled a Christening of my child without asking me. She was planning one for nephew and nieces (with the permission and go ahead from SIL) and just included my kid.
Now, I am not opposed to a Christening BUT the presumption was pretty inappropriate. Since this is her first stereotypical MIL move and she is otherwise great I am letting it go and half laughing about it. But for real?

My MIL has yet to utter the word, "congratulations."
Yikes. Did she say anything?
Oh yes. She told me that I would suffer from the summer heat. Then went on to tell us that someone else is pregnant.
Don't get me wrong, she is very excited and there were tears. I just don't think she is excited for US. It sounds like ellipsis might know a little about that, since she is carrying her MIL's child.

My MIL is mad that we are having this baby overseas. Like legit mad and gave my H an earful when we told her. Quite truthfully, it will be so much easier to have it there vs having it here in the US and then having to jump through the hoops of getting baby a passport and both of us medically clear to fly asap. It just.makes.sense. But not to the ILs who are mad they won't get to see the baby.

Oh my. Are you going through with it?
Yes. I am choosing to laugh it off and do it. It is a very small family only event so I am rolling with it. Very not my personality--my husband thought I was pissed in text and was went into "fix it" mode. I told him he was mistaking my surprise and laugh it off sarcasm as anger. She has NEVER overstepped like this so I am giving her a pass.
I texted my SIL to make sure our boys are dressing in similar fanciness and SIL is a little concerned this is going to be blown up and get out of hand. I will let her deal with her mom!
I am actually proud of my breeziness on this. Points with the husband for me!

Ummmm... Not to mention the fact that it will be your home.

You are very kind. I find myself hoping you won't regret this decision.

Right?!
I mean we did have the option to petition (not the right word but I'm blanking on what is) to have H's arrive no later than date pushed back til after the birth. But in reality, we just want to go and get settle before baby shows up. I'm all for less stress and NOT flying with a newborn + the animals overseas. We did not share this option with the ILs, they'd be even more upset that we chose to go at our current time

At least my parents are supportive
Sorry they're being such douchecanoes. Have you told them there's a brilliant fancy new invention, called hm.. oh ya, Skype/Facetime. Oh, and planes probably fly from wherever they are to Germany too.

We already live on the opposite side of the US from them, so we do Facetime occasionally. Unfortunately H's family isn't rolling in money and I wouldn't be surprise if they don't make it over to see us while we are there. Which I understand. But we usually come home to visit and will still, so its not like they'll never see the baby.
But its the first grandchild and all. And my MIL is a delicate flower. She'll get over it.

You are a better woman than I am because I'd have flipped my shit.
