I would hate to live in Manhattan but I think I could actually enjoy it in a place like this. Not even that much space but all of that terrace and the great views!

You could spy on Bono in the North Tower!
Seriously, though, I feel like owners of certain properties owe a debt to the significance of their space. Don't go make your kitchen look like a McMansion in Sante Fe.

I definitely agree. I love the Mission style but looking at these photos I was wishing I could see it before they renovated it. I'd love to see it restored back to how it was.
That's more CA Arts & Crafts Movement in style vs. Southwestern, though that's really neither here nor there. Either way it seems exorbitant but what do I know, I don't have $75 million to drop on any type of abode, apartment or castle or whatever. lol

That may be true, but it's interesting we only get 5 decent interior shots of the 14 rooms. And 3 include the original detailing. Let's all move into the maisonette!
Just saw them...I am underwhelmed. Such potential wasted imo.
In what way? Potential for it to be trapped in the past? The original photos of the interiors are all online. There was only one way to decorate around that style. It was heavy and dark. I disagree with you, pagas, the bones are still there. People are getting hung up on the word 'southwestern'. Lol, I can only imagine what kind of design crimes Bono has committed next door.
The bones are still there, that is why I said they were gorgeous. What she did with them isn't great, but the bones are still there AND gorgeous.

Ok, I'll go there.
I love it. I love the details. I love the mantle - that wood is gorgeous. I don't love the kitchen, but eh - for $75M, I'm not the one who'd be spending the most time in there, so whatever. Sorry personal chef.
I can see a bit of "southwest," but in those photos it's not blatant and in your face with something like a giant mosaic of a coyote over the fireplace or anything.

Are you guys high? That place is beautiful. The biggest thing I could see to complain about was that I didn't like the kitchen floor matching the counter tops.
If I was stupid rich I would move into it and have everything I could want delivered to me and never leave.
Side note...that would be a great place to survive the zombie apocalypse in.

Strangely, I considered this already when looking at the pictures. And I have to disagree. it would give you a great view of the situation on the ground, but walking up 28 floors each time you get back from a supply run? Hauling water up all that way? Naw, man.

I agree. I don't see anything that egregious. Southwest theme is pastel peach and greens with a little turquoise thrown in. And howling coyotes and copper accessories.
The views alone make me jealous. I'd move there in a heartbeat. Except just the down payment would be more money than I'll ever see. In 25 lifetimes!
The maintenance fees kill me. I remember when I used to watch Selling New York it always bugged me how nonchalant the realtors would be about the fees. And they never said the word thousand after the number. It was always, "How much are the fees?" "Three." I remember Googling it thinking it has to be $300 right? She can't mean $3000 a month for that. Nope $3,000 a month.
Demi's place is beautiful on one hand but dreary on another. I don't hate it but it doesn't make me wish I was a millionaire like JLo's Hamptons house did.

I think the style is more Wright, especially with the mission looking wood and placing, which is odd and I would not expect in that building/location.
