As I mentioned last week my wardrobe is seriously lacking in the shoe department. I had two pairs of "go to" shoes for work and one of them the heel broke. They were gray, patent leather sling backs.
So now I just have my red heels which I love. Most of my wardrobe the neutrals are black or gray (have little brown)
What do you think of those or do you have others I should look at? I can't wear peep toes sadly and I like at least a 3 inch heel.
Also, I have two other pairs of shoes that I could start wearing... one is a pair of black patent leather pumps that need to stretch a bit. How can I stretch them?
The other I am wearing today... they are a bright but dark pink patent heel but they have a cork heel and tiny cork platform. I feel like I can't wear them with black or gray b/c of the color of the cork. I have only one tan skirt that I wear them with. Is this dumb? Can I wear these shoes when wearing black neutrals.

I had a pair of boots that were really tight up by my toes. I filled zip lock bags with water put them in the toes of the shoes then put them in the freezer. So when the water froze it stretched out the sides of the shoes. It helped a little bit. I have pretty wide feet and they needed stretched more, but I could tell a little bit of a difference.

I've always wondered the fashion rules on this. I'll be interested to see everyone's opinion. I usually don't because I don't want to be breaking any major fashion rules, ha!

Yes, these are FWP
I love the black patent sling backs...I am also a very big fan of the nude shoe, and the nude patent is effing cute. Go for it.
To stretch shoes, I normally will wet the shoe, stuff it with newspaper or balled socks tightly. Then when it dries, remove stuffing and they're pretty good. I saw this spray they make to stretch shoes too. You spray the inside of the shoe, and put your foot in and it will stretch to your feet.
I don't think it would be wrong to wear cork with black or grey, but I see where you're coming from with it. I don't like to mix neutrals and cool tones. I don't think it's a problem though if it's minimal corkage. I dunno though.
