I hate when people post something (like an article of clothing or shoes) and say, "What do WE think of this?" Asking "what do YOU think of this" is fine but when the poster says "we" it makes me think they are too chicken to even have an opinion unless the group approves it.
Or like we're some kind of hive mind.
I mean, c'mon, we're individuals and we don't even have Aanc as a unifying humorous element anymore!!!
Why do we call all our children by their initials? Especially when we basically choose each other's names. Like, am I supposed to forget what the kid is names after nine baby name posts or something? It bugs me
I do it because of extreme paranoia, but you love me anyway.
Now I'm amusing myself thinking what if actually SADDLING a lawyer was the only way you could get one? No more retainers; you have to hide in the bushes until the lawyer leaves the office and then surprise saddle him/her to prove you are a worthy client.

Honestly, sounds better than half the networking shit I have to do.

I can't speak for anyone else.
I call my kids by their birth years on my blog, so they're 96-& 98. Some of their friends call them that now, to. Which poses them off wickedly. Oops.

What about those of us who actually call our kid by their initials in real life?

and this seems like a sort-of-appropriate place to mention that i can't stand when someone posts a downer ("my uncle got run over by a car") or a high-high ("i won the lottery!") in a gd randoms thread. b/c then it turns into a 6 pager of 'i'm so sorry' or 'congrats'.
this actually makes me want to gbgbcn. lol
I was just thinking this the other day. When someone posts something really sad in the randoms, I feel like a dick posting an actual random after that.

YES! If you know your post is going to elicit more than three responses it deserves its own thread. I get not wanting to be a tragedy whore or AW but what are we doing here other than talking about ourselves and the ups and downs.
I will admit however I do sometimes post my eeyore shit in the randoms because I want to get it out and move on.
Please note I tried to make this meme happen the other day in place of Heath.
Back in the day, I was on a Knot spinoff on msn boards. Jonathan Brandis died. For weeks, randoms would come in and post frantic threads, " OMG, Jonathan Brandis died!". So, after that, whenever people posted old news, the standard reply was "did you hear Jonithan Brandis died?" Heath circa 2003.

I didn't know he died until right now. I loved him on SeaQuest.
