Sooo...is there any way someone can get your credit card number without seeing it?
H got a call last week that his card number was attempted to be run fraudulently for $900 at a Target here in California.
What's really odd is he does not carry this card on him - it sits at home in a jar. We haven't had anyone over in months except our cleaners, who come bi-weekly and were just here Wednesday.
I hate to be like, "IT WAS THE CLEANERS!" but I seriously don't know how else someone could get the card number.
Plus that means I'd have to find new cleaners. Ugh!

No, he said he almost never uses it. I'm going to have to get more details from him. I know of a few people who had their cards compromised at gas stations and the like, maybe he used it randomly.
I've had mine stolen twice and both times it never left my wallet. There could have been one of those skimmer things on a store where he swiped it. One friend had the number copied at a restaurant when the waitress took it in the back to bay the bill. It happens.
I had some of our business cards get theft charges before I even received them in the mail and activated them. Chase called me to report that someone tried to charge something to two of them and I had NEVER even seen the cards. They arrived in the mail a few days later and they had already been shut down for fraudulent charges. I have no idea how that happens, but I think anything's possible with those motherfuckers at this point.
I had charges to a card recently that I hadn't used in 5 years and is y the drawer of my desk at home. No idea how it happens but I doubt it was the cleaners.
