It was very interesting and horrifying. I think the entire concept of private prisons has got to be one of the worst ideas ever. Why are we giving private companies a financial incentive to lock people up??
H and I couldn't help but notice that of all the people they interviewed in this show who worked for or represented the private prison companies, not a single one was the same color as the majority of the prisoners you saw.
Equally shocking is how big a business immigration detention is. But they then try to say with a straight face that the extensive campaign contributions from private prison companies has absolutely NOTHING to do with their pushing strict immigration laws.

That's bad too, but at least the incentive is to provide education (whether or not it actually happens, well...). The incentive to take away people's freedom, lock them up in a place filled with violence and look the other way when the violence happens, and treat them like animals is high, and it's horrific.
