Anyone ordered anything from the ASOS Maternity line?
I'm thinking of ordering a special occasion dress for two weddings I have in the upcoming 2 months. I haven't found anything formal enough in stores around here, unless it cost $300, which I'm just not willing to spend on 2 weddings.
Similarly, Rent Frock Repeat will cost be $150 per event, and then I wouldn't even have a dress to consign or keep at the end of the day.
I'm looking at a couple of polyester/elastane chiffon maxi dresses that would be suitable for both events. They are also closer to $130 each, which is far more acceptable.
With the free 10 day shipping they should arrive 7 days before the first wedding, which would give me enough time to panic shop locally if it really sucks.
Check out Seraphine as well -- they have a large selection of the types of dresses I'd consider wearing to a wedding. They ship from UK, but I received my stuff in less than 7 days. And have free return shipping if it doesn't work out or doesn't show up in time.
I haven't purchased from their maternity line, but I've bought things from their normal women's line and liked them. I still have two shirts 2+ years later that have lasted and still look really good. Mind you they're not things I wear all the time, but still.

I've purchased about 6 or more dresses (more casual or business style) and I had GREAT luck. Which is surprising because maternity sizing is tricky for me.
I'm not sure how far along you are, but I had to size up for my third trimester in more fitted dresses.
I got my shower dress there for cheap. I ended up having it altered but it was still cheaper than buying from another maternity store. Quality was good too.
I wouldn't hesitate to order. But I also second looking at seraphine.
I'll be 26 weeks at the first wedding and 32 weeks at the second.
I now think I'm going to try to install an exposed zipper in an existing formal gown I have for the wedding in 3 weeks. It ALMOST fits right now and I just need a little bit more ease in the bust. That would save me the most trouble since it is a black-tie optional wedding and is the one that really demands a more costly dress.
The wedding in July is pretty casual and I'm sure I can get away with a simple sundress, which would make more sense to own for attending showers and bachelorettes.
Being pregnant during wedding season is going to blow this year.
I got my shower dress from Asos and it looks like decent quality. Mine is a floral print on a stretch scuba type fabric. Really cute and fits pretty well. I wasn't sure about sizing, but seems to be pretty true to their size chart.
I went and tried on some of the Seraphine dresses yesterday at the only local boutique that sells them. Wow high pressure sales tactics were employed. The cheapest cocktail dress they had in stock was $225, which is a little rich for my taste. Ugh.

Holy crap!
I went and ordered two dresses from ASOS and two tank tops for $232. I hope that duties are reasonable.

It really depends on whoever is processing things in customs that day. Although, come to think of it I don't think I've ever paid duties on Asos orders. Mind you I think the largest order I've ever placed with them was about $150.
