It's very unsettling not knowing. Yea he'll talk to us, then doze off and talk nonsense. He has no energy or strength.
It was the same for my dad. I was traveling out of state & called to talk to him. I knew something was wrong when he wouldn't talk to me. I called my (then) step mom & told her to get him to the ER asap. IIRC he was in the hospital for about a week on very strong IV antibiotics.
I'm assuming they have already ran a urine test, but ask just in case.
This exactly. I called him Saturday morning to talk and he always talks or calls and he didn't want to
I'm sorry to read your update, but am glad that they at least figured out what is going on.
Also, re: Duke, R's rockstar neurosurgeon that removed a mass larger than a golf ball went there for residency and fellowship and almost stayed on as faculty, so I'm very confident you're going to be in amazing hands if they're anything like her. Sending your family many good thoughts!
I'm glad they found the source and you are able to be there with your mom & dad. Praying that things improve for him soon.
Kids are so resilient. I'm glad your little guy is doing well going with the flow! It's amazing to watch them adapt in situations where we might expect them to do otherwise. I hope that continues for him. I bet your mom really enjoys the distraction from all of the stress.
