I misread my opks and got the ovulation bloodwork done too early. My results confirm that I hadn't O'd or even surged yet. If I'm not pregnant this month she'll have me do it again next.
For the 7dpo progesterone check the lab did the wrong test! I would cry if I weren't laughing.
But seriously, how common is this? During my miscarriage back in January I went in for betas and they did the wrong test then too. Both at Quest, but 2 completely different locations on opposite coasts of the country. My doc says the lab will redo the test with the blood I already gave, but they told me that last time and then they weren't able to do it. So we shall see.
oh good lord, seriously? My experience with Quest during my first pg was almost entirely negative too. I had terrible m/s the whole time, and my OB did a 2-hour GTT as standard. I had to go get some fresh air to avoid puking, and they were seriously rude to me about it.
On the OPKs, I've always been a Wondfo queen, but honestly the smiley face Clearblue Easy ones that my RE has me use rock my socks. I do the Wondfos until they start getting a little darker, then switch, or, actually, use both.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
That's annoying. When I had betas and progesterone checks with this last pregnancy, they didn't know the tests they were drawing blood for. A lab tech drew blood at the OB office and the blood was sent to an outside lab. My nurse said to show up before they open and they would draw the blood. I was given a sheet of paper by the receptionist but no tests were checked. The lab tech had to hunt to find my nurse to ask her. I went back the second time and it happened again but the nurse wasn't even in the office. I went back mid-day to have a CBC before the d&c and same thing. The lab tach wrote the tests down right to send to the lab and they did the right tests.
My insurance has a lab card program through Quest. I didn't request it with the last pregnancy because I was worried using a different lab than their standard lab would mess things up.
Urg, that's hard. I, thankfully, have never had any problems with the lab here, but I go to the one my moms bff works at and I wait to make sure it's her drawing my blood. She is very understanding and I like talking to her. I tell her basically everything I tell my mom anyways so it's nice to know the lab tech.
I'm sorry that you had to go through that. They, I think, are the worst. I had a bad experience with them too. Right before Thanksgiving I had a BFP and since we were going out of town for the week, I had to foot one to get my betas drawn. My doctor had written ASAP on my lab slip, but my doctor didn't get the results until the following week (when I was already back in town). Apparentley, they sent them to the wrong doctor.
