Tell me about thyroid levels. I just had mine tested and the result was 3.17. Doc called it normal. Google seems conflicted. Some sources say up to 5 is normal, other sources say only up to 3. I'm not much over 3, so maybe it's fine either way? I got it tested because we are almost at a year of TTC now.
For TTC, my RE likes levels much lower than that. Did you see an endo, or just your PCP?
My OB was like, yep, normal. My PCP was like, hmmmm, maybe you need meds, here's a prescription. My RE was like, oh, TTC? Let's up your dose. This was with the same tested levels for all three.
For TTC, my doctor wanted me near 2. I end up around 5-6 when left to my own devices, and recently had to up my dose again. You could ask about trying a low dose of synthroid to see what happens.

It was my OB. I also did other bloodwork this cycle, but I messed up the timing on one of them and the lab ran the wrong test for the most recent one (progesterone). Frustrating! So this one is the only one I have to overanalyze at the moment.

I'll concur with that the ladies said, my RE wanted it lower than my GYN and he put me on medicine. My PCP just wanted to monitor. In my case, I think it helped me b/c prior to that I hever had a positive OPK. I got pg our 4th cycle after being put on thyroid medicine and having a polpy removed.
When we TTC again, I'm probably going to have to advocate for it with the PCP or go back to the RE.
I'm not even ttc anymore (though I did get pg with DD3 with a level over 3) but my Endocrinologist wants me under 2 even now...which we have not achieved yet with even upping my dose a few times post pg.
