My usually unicorn sleeper woke up screeching just as I was drifting off around 10:45. He went back to his old crappy nursing and fussing habits so I finally gave him a bottle. However he is still refusing to be put down. I get so frustrated when he nurses poorly. I've worked too hard, dammit! I am hoping it's just because his mouth was sore from the dentist messing with it.
I am irritated with H. He was still awake during these shenanigans and helped a bit but then just went to sleep as normal while I was still trying to get the baby down. I was fine with that while I was on maternity leave since the baby was kind of my job and I could nap during the day, but that is NOT going to fly with us both working again now.
The baby has been asleep since 10. If he hits the three-hour mark, the next wakeup will be on H's shift. I should have slept while he slept, but I have been paring down the stuff in my purse so I can just throw a wristlet in the diaper bag, GBCNing, paying bills, washing bottles...it's been a productive night! (Well, not the GBCNing part.)
We are going to try a new shift system this weekend in which we each take a full night rather than each taking half a night. Every other day, I'd get 8-9 hours of sleep!! I didn't think I'd ever get eight hours again! Every time I get so upset about my nonexistent BM supply, I try to remind myself that there are also upsides, including the 50-50 split of night duties.

This is wake up number two. A week ago he was sleeping from 8:00 pm until 4:00/5:00 am, nursing and sleeping another hour or so.
This is what cold and teething have done - in now back at every two hours nursing. I'm so tired. I gave him Tylenol and hope that helps.
DH get back around 10:00 pm tomorrow night and he's not going to be thrilled but oh well. I did what I had to and I'm not CIO longer than 10 minutes alone.
DS was an absolute mess tonight. So much gas. I felt so awful for him. He finally nursed himself to sleep around 10, so I guess this is wake up one. He keeps grunting and pooping, so I'm letting him relax on my chest for a few more minutes before I change him.
I've been up or dozing in the recliner with him all night. The last 2 nights, he has been grunting horribly constantly after I put him down. It is painful sounding and makes it impossible to sleep.
I've been googling and it corresponds with me taking fenugreek. Fuck. Stopping immediately and hopefully tomorrow night I'll get sleep.
On the tail end of our 1am date here. I tried keeping E on the couch with me to start to see if we could get a longer stretch....thats a hard no. Also tried putting her in her crib for a nap yesterday. Nope, nope, nope. I feel like we'll be sleeping on the couch together until she's 35. Ugggghhhhh
Well it's wakeup 3/4 but after 3 nice hours of sleep, which is so much better than last night, I'll take it! Last night I didn't get to sleep more than 30 min until 6am. Really one of the earlier wakeups was due to hiccups, so not even that bad.
I decided to experiment with feeding DS an extra ounce in his bottle before bed and he went down easier and slept from 8:30-3. I'm sure DH is happy with some extra sleep:)
I had a monster plug that just released. It is so nice when they go away but my poor breast feels battered now. There was a ton of milk in there.
I'm trying to start planning how much milk to leave in the fridge for bottles Wed when I go back to work. I've usually tried to leave 12-18 ounces in the fridge anyway, so I may just need to up that a tiny bit.
Got a 3 hour stretch between wake ups 1 and 2. He's usually harder to put down after this one, but he's sleeping pretty well on my chest right now. I'm hoping he'll stay asleep when I put him down in a few minutes.
