I know most of us here write out the longer version of our birth story for GBCN to read. Did you include it or something similar in your baby book? Or did you just do basic facts like I was X weeks, time of birth, etc.
I did basic facts on the pretty pages in their books.
I have each full birth story printed out and in my personal keepsake box. I am happy to share my full stories with my internet friends and select IRL ones, but there are some things I don't think my family needs to know and a lot of family/friends have asked to see their books when visiting. The kids can read their stories when they are older if they'd like, but they will probably be all "EWWWW, MOM!"
Oh that's a good idea! I have a keepsake box for each baby so maybe I will just type it out and throw it in there.
Kind of. My doula actually wrote out a really nice version of my birth story - it made me sound like Wonder Woman without getting into too many gory details

I have the basics in their baby book. Time we went to the hospital, general labor time, time I got the epi, low long it took to push, time of birth, etc.
Yes, I included the birth story in both of my children's baby books. I tried to put a positive spin on DS's birth story, though, and left out the part about how much I hated being induced and seeing the Pitocin level progressively cranked up.
Yes. I did a baby book on My Publisher though and put the birth story and all of her monthly updates from my blog in it. Much easier than hand writing it all, lol
What a good idea! I really need to get on that. DS will be 2 in July... I need to get it done before DD arrives in August. Of course my plan is to make a shutterfly book, put in all his measurements from dr appts, etc. Which means it will take me forever. And because I know this, I haven't started it. But I love photo books so much so I need to just start on it, knowing that it will take me some time. Sigh...

i wrote out the whole story in a notebook, tore it out and have the pages tucked in a small keepsake box with other loose momentos. i'm high tech like that.
