At my old house it was literally impossible to have a package sent UPS successfully delivered to my house. Or to have it picked up at the warehouse. They sent back more than one package after one delivery attempt.

I mean, it took them 3 months to find a 60K piece of science equipment I bought. The box was the size of an oven. I am surprised by nothing now. Did they tell you what happened?
UPS in my town is awesome. Fedex in my town sucks. It may just be the relationship I have developed with my UPS guy due to my amazon prime obsession.
FedEx here is wonderful. The drivers often swing by twice in one day if no one answers the first time they attempt delivery.
REGIONAL:)
At least Fedex lets us know they were here by knocking down our driveway markers. That's all I've got for them. They usually deliver my packages to 123 SAME ST instead of 123 SAME Avenue, and then that place, which is a business, closes and I Can't get my stuff until normal business hours - during which I work.
What the heck?! Did they really have you waiting around at the warehouse that long?
Yes, I stood in the lobby for that long.
It was a box I needed for work for an event today. They took it upon themselves to not deliver it to us and to hold it because they ASSUMED that my office was closed this past week (but it wasn't).
UPS has repeatedly taken a package that has just been delivered to my local distribution center (in Texas) and put it on a plane to the East Coast. I once waited a full month for a sweater to be delivered because they kept screwing up. Our delivery guys are awesome, but the logistics center can take a flying leap as far as I'm concerned.
