You know how most pg. women hate the constant check ins at the end? "Have you had the baby yet?" "Are you STILL pregnant?" and so on. I was just thinking today about how annoyed Kate Middleton must be by now! Lol. So many websites have live streaming outside of the hospital she plans to use. Poor thing.
DH is flying back from there now. I'm disappointed he missed it, because I wanted a paper! From what I read, it's 1,000x less intense than with Prince George. Although this baby will be s prince/princess, it will not likely be king/queen. It's the spare heir.

Bedtime is in 1.5 hours. Despite one after nap meltdown by DS1, both boys have been great all afternoon. About to reheat dinner and get bedtime started.
DH lands in 1.5 hours and hopefully will get through customs swiftly and be home by 10:00 pm at the latest! Yay!

DD is playing with her train table and I hear her singing a little song like, "Just give a little push, give a little push if it gets stuck." I guess she is making up her own little Daniel Tiger jingles now?
DH has just gone to pick up DD from daycare. We decided that it's family movie night, because we're both exhausted (and I'm sick), so we'll be watching Frozen until bedtime. Hopefully. We've never actually shown her a movie before, though she saw part of Frozen a few months ago when she was home sick.
Piper rolled over today for the first time (and second and third). It came as a huge surprise, as precious tummy time attempts were mostly just her face planting and screaming. Today she was doing just that, then lifted her head up, looked at me defiantly, and rolled her ass over. I got the second one on video. I can post if people want to see and hear me squealing in excitement.
I got into a (polite and controlled) altercation with a woman today who would not let me do an ordinary zipper merge in front of her on a main road where two lanes were closed. Her window was down so I rolled mine down and asked her to let me in and she rudely and staunchly refused. After a little back and forth, I noticed a cross hanging from a rosary on her rearview mirror and asked if she could not find the Christian kindness in her heart to let me merge according to general social convention. She said "Shut up!" and rolled up her window.
We went out for dinner for H's friend's birthday and brought Bas. Man, how old does Bas have to get before I stop being constantly on edge re him being a total maniac at a restaurant? (Breezy people, please don't answer.) He did ok and ate a few bites of burger and cucumber and like 2 french fries and chugged a glass of milk and a pouch, but also ommggggg not a relaxing time.
we do not dine out with dd2 unless it's Einstein's Bagels or something.
Dd1 has been relatively tolerable at restaurants since about 4.

I'm traveling for work (first time since DS) and I'm in s really nice hotel. I had planned to enjoy the pool but its raining, and I cs t figure out the stupid tv...so much for living it up with my one night of freedom.
I'm hiding upstairs while DH parents though I really haven't done a lot today. Whatever., I solo parented most of the week!
I am cleaning out an extra bedroom that is "my" room. Most of the boxes were books to donate or crap for dh's home office (ahem, his lego collection) so it went fast. Now I just have to decide how to decorate this room. I'm gonna post (boring) pics tonight for help bc it's Friday and what else do I have to do?
Product rave. These are superior to the beloved MMM Zutano booties, and cheaper, too. Super soft and light for summer. I like them better because the Velcro allows for a more secure fit if you have a baby with chicken legs like mine.
DH misinterpreted my text so now we are at Chuck E. Cheese.
I feel like this needs more explanation. How does that happen?
LOL, yes I'm home now so I can write more.
I wanted to text DH to make sure he was picking us up because it was too cold to walk home from work/daycare so I texted him near the end of the day.
Me: Do you think B wants to go to Happy Hour? DH: Sure, we will get him a tequila shot. Me: Or maybe just Chuck E. Cheese [NB: this is funny because the one time we went to Chuck E Cheese after work B had an epic meltdown.] Me: Well pick us up and we will ask him what he wants to do. DH: Sure. Me: Also find some Jello for shots later. [NB: Also meant to be funny because I can't drink and we also haven't done Jello shots in years] DH: We have Jello?
Anyway we get B in the car and I realized DH had packed the diaper bag and he starts driving not towards home and I'm all "where are you going?" and he said "I thought you wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese?" So at that point I just went with it.
Unlike last time it was not a disaster and B even ate the food so success!

OMG. The whining in our house is out of control tonight. I am trying to be all zen and empathetic, but UGH. YES, YOU CAN PULL UP YOUR OWN PANTS. IF YOU ARE COLD, PUT YOUR PANTS BACK ON AND CONSIDER USING ONE OF THE FIVE BLANKETS YOU SLEEP WITH BUT REFUSE TO USE.
The first 40 minutes of Frozen was a success at calming a very grumpy toddler tonight. Now she's in bed, DH is working on his hobby, and I discovered that Little Women is free on Amazon Prime so that's what I'm watching.
