This is in my top two coolest things ever. You're right up there with the guy in my graduate program who was a backup dancer in Captain EO.
Haha.
It's really not that special, especially when you live in Orlando and everyone and their dog works for one of the theme parks.
It was a lot of fun, though. The pay was shit - even in an office role - but the perks couldn't be beat.
What did you do? I imagine this really amazing job where you're doing PR and scheduling events and it's a high paced, glorious job. Please tell me that's what it was like!

I did a lot. I started in Quick Service Food and Begerage, then did The Great Movie Ride and was a campus rep for my university. And then I moved onto Recruiting and finally Events.
Most roles are not glamorous at all. iIRC, they employed 60,000 people in just Orlando when I worked there.
But, they do company culture. very well. You get into the parks for free except during major holidays, you get friends and family in for free, hotel discounts, and they often do team building when rides open or movies debut. My boss once had us come in early in the morning on the weekend shortly after Animal Kingdom opened and got us on one of the safari vehicles they use to feed the animals so the giraffes were coming right up to us.
And usually your friends work for the parks too, so a lot of socializing takes place drinking around the world at Epcot. It's a fun place to work.

Does anyone go to Epcot for any reason other than drinking around the world?
Not in my circle, no.
Well, we'd go for food and wine and candlelight, but those also involved drinking. LOL. Epcot is the best.

The guy I was dating for like a month turned out to suck. But we had planned to go to Epcot the day before a work conference next month. I'm hoping that one of the dates I have between now and then turns out to be cool enough to take his place. I love Epcot tickets as a work travel expense.
I'm not liking because he sucked but because I think you will find someone cool enough.

Lilo and Stitch is my favorite non-princess Disney movie. It's a fun story, great music, and has wonderful themes. The alien stuff is just the vehicle.
