It's storming here, again, but supposed to clear up by mid morning. Why am I up and posting at 7:30 in the morning? Glad you asked. Because we have an outdoor cat seat checkup event that is supposed to start at 8:30. We haven't even begun setup because it is lightning, so we're all staying in our vehicles for safety. I am prepared with sunscreen, 2 bottles of water, frozen to allow for melting, and a raincoat with hood, and lightweight capri pants that I bought yesterday specially for this.
We all slept pretty well last night, yay! Today we are packing in the activities, lol. There is some big garage sale event going on so we're going to stop at that then go to the zoo. After that we're going out to dinner. Not sure if we'll do anything after that other than pass out!
Tomorrow if we stay another night we might see if we can see H's aunt and cousin. She's in town from CA to meet her new grandson that was born on Easter. We'd love for her to meet E and of course for us to meet the baby too!
DS had Parents Night Out at school last night, so we went to a new (to us) pizza place and then to Cheesecake Factory for dessert with a couple friends. It was soooo bad but sooooo good.
Today we're supposed to do an Arthritis Walk (DS has a juvenile form of arthritis), but it's supposed to rain all day. We'll at least get our t-shirts, and do the walk if it's not raining. Then we're going mall-walking with a friend we saw last night.
Sunday my MIL is coming over to watch DS so we can have a date night for my birthday on Monday. Not sure where we're going yet, but want to try somewhere new.
Monday is baseline for IVF #2 - woot! More exciting than my birthday, lol.
Slept "in" until 8:15, but the puppy was up twice last night to go. I am being asked like five times a day what I want to do for my birthday next Saturday. I have no idea- we know we will have to be packing that weekend (second to last weekend in our house) and I got an invite for free Panera lunch. So not sure what else I will have time to fit in.
Today it's grocery shopping, possibly laundry, homework (two assignments left for the semester!), packing, and dinner with ILs.
We're going out to my other grandpa's for dinner. DS will get to meet my aunts and some of my cousins today. We head home tomorrow and I'm looking forward to my bed already.
We were woken by a crazy storm around 7 this morning...right after I got little miss back to sleep at 6. Luckily she slept through it and we were able to go back to sleep till 9.
Nit it much going on here today. Still adjusting and getting used to our new life with a baby! She is currently cuddled up on my chest sleeping. I could do laundry, clean the kitchen, pump, play with the dogs but all I want to do is enjoy these cuddles.
H left eft a bit ago to go help his dad cut up a tree that feel during the store and then go by the golf store. House Hunter renovations will have my attention for the next few hours I'm sure!!
Been up since 6:15. Someone needs to teach M what a weekend is
Need to clean, grocery shop, and cook for company tonight. They have such extreme dietary needs that it feels like a lot if pressure to not mess up.
As someone with extreme dietary needs, they will greatly appreciate that you put in the effort to try and make food they could eat even if it does get messed up somehow.
estrellita I love garage/yard sales. It's one of our favorite Saturday activities!
jjwritergirl What are the dietary restrictions of your guests?
The repairman is here fixing the garage door right now. H is helping while I keep the dog entertained.
No dairy, no grains at all (I'd die!), no soy or corn. I was thinking of making coconut curry chicken kabobs with veggies, and maybe potatoes on the side.
Not sure what dessert I could make other than dairy free coconut macaroons.
I have a non-dairy chocolate cake recipe that is still delicious when made with gluten free flour.... Are they able to tolerate something like potato flour? Or all purpose gluten free flour?

Yes, they can all eat potato flour and most can eat gluten free flour. I would love to have the recipe even if I don't use it tonight.
I also just found out they can eat rice too, so that makes things a lot easier
I worked all morning/early afternoon. Now just relaxing. Probably going to watch an episode of a show I missed on Thursday, then start dinner at about 6. I have a load of dishes to do today also. Possible laundry... If I"m really feeling motivated lol!
I am so excited to have tomorrow off!!! It's rainy, cloudy and stormy here. Perfect weather to be inside!
I went and saw my grandma in the hospital this morning. It took us 2 hours to get G down for her afternoon nap, so when she was finally asleep I took a 2 hours nap as well!! Now I have steaks thawing for DH to make for dinner. Yum! No cooking for me!!
Yesterday I braved a cranky baby and went to go get a diet coke. I dropped it on the garage floor when I got home. So H picked one up for me when he came home that night. They messed it up and it was regular coke.
