I am feeling all emotional and have already eaten five girl scout cookies and two handfuls of reeses pieces. We're going to an OOT wedding this weekend and I am going to be a blimp. People will think I'm knocked up.
You may as well enjoy the junk food. Prednisone is the devil and you will gain weight regardless I what you eat or don't eat. I stopped taking it two weeks ago and my face and ankles are still puffy.

ugh, I feel you. How long do you have to take it? I was on it for 3.5 months total, including the weaning-off time. I'm sure people thought I was knocked-up between the bloating and the amount of eating I was doing while on it. Hope you can get rid of the puffiness soon, that was a major issue I had and was so happy when my face finally went back to normal.

See, you gave me perspective, thank you. I am on round 2 of extreme poison ivy, so I'm on it for two weeks. It makes me cry, lol. Last time I sweated a lot but lost weight on it....
I keep getting second hand poison ivy from the dogs. This time from when i was trying to WASH IT OFF OF THEM
I'm sorry you have to take it- that's the suck. But, you typically post about pet related items and I was just going to chime in with my story! My dog got put on prednisone this weekend and I guess three hours was too long to leave her without a bathroom break because when I got home last night there was a big mess on the floor in the playroom. Now I have to take all of the tiles out of the room, spray them off, and mop underneath. Ugh. At least my poor pup only has to be on it for a few weeks. Hope you can quit taking it soon!

Poor doggie : ( Does she have allergies? If you soak it in vinegar and water, then hydrogen peroxide with dish soap and some baking powder, it should disinfect and remove the smell pretty well. After using a special enzymatic cleaner we decided to try that as a homemade solution on carpet and it worked great!

I was on it from June 2011 to October, then switched to a different steroid, and back to prednisone since February through my whole pregnancy. It SUCKS! I'll most likely be on a steroid for life. Who wants my liver? Hope your time with it is brief!

Oh, thanks for the tips. They're actually those interlocking foam tiles, though. It shouldn't take too long to spray them off outside. Yeah, the vet is thinking a possible allergy, or a bite from something outside. It all started with some ear problems, and her belly is a bit irritated. I have a spray to put in her ears and rub in, and you should see her face when I rub her ears. She is in heaven!
